What People Are Saying
from Google"So the place was a little bit hard to find. Once found, you have to check in at the bar for your room. Oh and book online, because the rooms are more expensive in person. (We booked online) Once you get the key, you go outside then back through another door to get to the rooms. All rooms are upstairs and above the bar, which does close early (10pm). The room is small but warm. Carpet is old and they need a new softer mattress (you can feel the springs). But this is a budget friendly 2 star hotel room, so on par with the price. The only downfall, literally, is the stairs."
"Room was clean and simple which was fine because it was just me. However the price of one night in the winter was a bit high, however what was BS in my opinion is the fact that there was no little coffee pot in the room and the restaurant charged me $5.00 for one cup of coffee. I won't stay again."
"I recently read a disturbing review regarding a bartender at Trouhouse, Aleina. I was present during the incident reviewed. The man was volatile and no matter what took place could not be pleased. The customers sitting around him complained several times about his behavior. Aleina is a wonderful bartender and treats everyone with respect and dignity. She is very sweet and always has a positive attitude. Her personality and laugh is infectious. She did not deserve this review and I am sorry that sometimes people have bad days and seem to take their frustrations out on those undeserving."
"Changes over the years make it hard to give a 4 star review. Quality used to be better but that was back when bread wasn't $5 a loaf, so I can understand why the sandwiches are smaller than they used to be. Some of the wait staff can be not so nice BUT I'm sure it is hard to work with all the mean customers also."
"My review is for the cafe, menu, service and atmosphere. My family has been eating in the Windbreak Cafe for 20 years. Ashley was our server - she was friendly, welcoming, knew the menu, was prompt with our order and checked in on us a couple times. The renovation of the dining area is attractive (with an Alaskan flair), welcoming and clean. The menu is small with great options and reasonable prices. Food was delicious, generous portions, fresh fruits and vegetables, and an attractive presentation. We recommend without reservation and suggest you give it a try."
