Hailey, the catering manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She’s easily the best manager I’ve ever worked with—organized, friendly, and genuinely cares about every detail. Highly recommend Southern Greens for both dining in and catering events!"

"I truly don't like sharing negative reviews. I LOVE Auburn and I want all aspects of it to thrive - especially new businesses that have great potential. I was VERY excited to hear that Southern Greens was opening here. We've needed more high-quality salad options for a while now. So yesterday, I decided to use my lunch break to run downtown and grab a salad to go. I visited the "Build Your Own Salad" section of the menu. I chose a base of Romaine lettuce for $2, grilled chicken as my protein for $8, and spicy ranch dressing for $1 - totaling $11 and $11.91 after tax. Pricey for a salad, but I'm happy to pay for convenience if it's delicious. Well, I already wasn't happy about having to pay $1.50 to park JUST to walk in to pick up my food, but oh well...it is what it is. I looked at the menu on the counter (after having already looked online). I placed my order, expecting my total to be $11.91. So, imagine my surprise when my total was $15.61. I was puzzled at first but thought that maybe I had miscalculated before ordering. So, I was already not happy about the total, then she flips the screen around for me to enter a tip, which I was totally not expecting. She was staring right at me, and I felt pressured to give one, so I just chose the lowest option (15%) as I was only picking my salad up. After all, when I go to CFA, Panera, Zaxby's, Wendy's, mostly anywhere for a fast salad, I just pick my salad up and am not expected to pay a tip. So, my total ended up being $17.95 when I was only expecting to pay $11.91............$19.45 if you include what I had to pay just to park and walk in. So, while I was waiting on my salad, I decided to look over the menu again to see where I went wrong. Sure enough, when I reviewed the total, I was indeed correct, so when the server brought me my extremely basic salad (literally, the bare minimum - lettuce, chicken, and dressing) I said, "I'm confused about the price of my salad." So, I proceeded to show her the menu, add up my total and ask where the discrepancy was. That's when she said, "Ooohhh, that's because we charge a $3 "build your own salad" fee. I (baffled) said, "You do? Where does it say that? I didn't see it on the website before I came in and I don't see it on this menu." She looked at it, and said, "Yeeeah, I guess it's not on there." Then just looked at me. Um, excuse me, WHAT?! I, shaking at this point, told her it would be a good idea to add it because that is 100% false advertisement and a total "bait-and-switch." She never apologized, never offered a refund, just acted as "too bad, so sad" and walked off. As upset as I was, I still said "thank you" before I left, and she ignored me and walked off. I was fuming. In an economy where inflation is insane and we are being "nickeled and dimed" for EVERYthing these days, it was SO frustrating to not only pay $17.95 for an $11.91 salad, but to realize that this new restaurant (THAT I WANT TO DO WELL) is not only falsely advertising prices, but not providing proper customer service to its BRAND NEW customers when they point out something wrong. Charging an undisclosed mandatory fee is deceptive and misleading. My salad was good, but not worth almost $20. The experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will not be back. And, to be clear, this isn't necessarily about the money. An extra $6 isn't going to send me to the poor house - it's the principle of the matter."

"Southern Greens is such a great addition to downtown Auburn! I came in there with a friend yesterday (Friday of a home game) looking for a quick bite with the craziness of downtown Auburn. I got the “Lobstah Roll” sandwich and it was absolutely divine! Tasted so fresh and was very reasonably priced! Not only is the food good but the service is also awesome! My food came out within 5-10 minutes which was great given they were fairly busy! The employees were approachable and accommodating as well. Specifically the catering manager Hayley! She personally came up to my friend and I asking about how our experience. I’m so glad downtown Auburn now has a health food/ grab and go style restaurant. I’m wishing them all the best!"

"This place has been completely transformed from the previous restaurant here! It is beautiful. The food is of great quality & ingredients. The avocado toast with an egg was delicious. The staff is super friendly & I was greeted immediately upon entering. The manager is very hands on and polite. Very professional. Will definitely be coming back for more!"

"atmosphere and the restaurant itself was beautiful! but this restaurant definitely needs more help. there was only one girl working behind the coffee bar. coffee and food was good but slow to come out, and they need a better system for bringing out dishes to the correct customers! we were served the wrong food and noticed that a few other customers were too. i think it could be a great addition to downtown auburn, just needs some help!"
