"First time eating lunch here. They will take your order over the phone but will not fix it until you pay and you cannot pay over the phone. Resulting in you having to wait to get your order. As this was my first time I do not think calling in the order actually saves you any time. On to the food... again this is about lunch only breakfast is completely different. Ill review that later because their breakfast is what made me want to try lunch. We ordered the smoked sausage plate & 1lb of Riblets and we split it. Definitely enough for almost 4 meals in total. Now I was craving pecan pie and it tasted really good but I wouldn't pay $3.50 again. Now on to the plate the coleslaw needed salt & pepper but was good slaw. The beans needed seasoning too so I added the BBQ sauce which was really good. I like my meat to not be dependent on sauce. The sauce is super heavy and the meat without it is not seasoned IMO. The sausage was good same sausage they serve at breakfast."

"My wife said the sauce was a lil spicy but most other bbq restaurants don't ever give you enough so i ordered an extra cup. The waitress was more than happy to fulfill my request. So my wife and I decided to eat in the car because the smell and freshness of the food was almost irresistible. Take into consideration my wife and I both work at a very nice restaurant just north of Bham. Their food was magnificent. It was fresh. It was hot. The smell was fantastic along with the taste. I didn't get heartburn thank God. Their sauce is fresh and very very good. I recommend this restaurant as one of my top 5 in Bham and I eat out a lot because of the schedule that I keep keeping our restaurant doing well but taking the time to go-to the Pit was well worth it."

"This place is the place you want to be!! I’ve been here twice. I’ve only gotten the exact same thing which was a bacon over easy egg cheese sandwich w/ Mayo! The bacon is thick and crispy!! Sandwich is so flavorful not greasy as all!! I live in Hoover and I’ll drive here every day I’d I could! You have to try this place you will not regret it!! There is a drive thru and you can also walk in for to go orders as well! Customer service is on point also!! Get there!!"
