from Google"Delicious food! I have Celiac. Their gluten free chicken tenders and waffles, fried fish plate, and lemon cake bites are delicious. My husband orders their wings and LOVES them. All their lunch and brunch entrees have a gluten free option, and the ones that aren't naturally gf have a regular option (fried chicken, fish, waffles, etc.) Edit: The owner has commented that ALL their fried food is gluten free! I assumed since the menu states fried foods have a gf option that there was a "regular" option as well. I have also updated my review on the FindMeGF app to reflect this information."
"Well, it certainly wasn’t like my Mama’s breakfast. I would look elsewhere for breakfast. I love breakfast. And, I stopped at Yo Mama’s for brunch. I left disappointed. I spent $20 for cafeteria coffee and food. The coffee was self serve from a Bunn carafe siting on the burner. I had to use a Chinet to-go cup. The coffee tasted like basic gas station or cafeteria coffee. I also ordered the French toast with two patties of sausage. The French toast was soggy on the bottom, had a pedestrian sprinkle of powered sugar, and came with a small (not enough) plastic cup of “homemade syrup.” The syrup was blended with something. The toast was simply not up to par. The atmosphere is much lie a college cafeteria. I could get past that if the food hit. But, it did not. I was disappointed because I was hungry and the reviews, now I know, were misleading. Breakfast is easy to get right. They did not. Some might say I should have tried more items. But, this isn’t my first rodeo trying new places. My experience is that when one item is prepared in such a haphazard, that this is foundational to the approach to food."
"This is such a vibe. We had the French toast, wings & waffles and the seafood omelet… everything was delicious. They had a homemade “syrup”… wasn’t that great (it’s butter based). They also had “cool Santa” that you took pictures with that was fun."
"I was so impressed to find a restaurant in Birmingham that serves gluten free fried chicken! Flavorful, southern, GF fried chicken! 😋 It was delicious. I was able to eat without worry from meal to dessert. They have GF Mac and cheese in Tuesdays and GF French toast and pancakes on Saturday. The menu is vast and whether you avoid gluten or not there is something for everyone! The service was friendly and informative. Oh and try the in house beverages. They are delicious too. I give a big 👍🏽 because I’ll be back."
