"My daughter and I stopped by to hang out & play chess. I got the cherry chai with homemade cherry syrup (it was DELICIOUS), along with a few baked goods. The oatmeal cream pie & gooey cake bar stood out. I also picked up some beans to take home. 3 different varieties and they are all quite tasty. We will definitely be back when we are back in town!"

There are so many coffee shops around the shoals, but if you are wanting somewhere to chill, drink a top quality coffee, and leave having made new friends, Companion is the only one I have seen that meets the mark. "Love this beautiful addition to the 7-Points area. My first cup was delicious, refreshing and the description actually matched what was in my cup. Staff was great and obviously enjoy serving customers. The decor is meticulous and integrates nicely with the 7-Points vibe. And the roaster is functional art. Can’t wait to visit when the roaster is cranked up, surely it’s a “must smell” for north Alabama. Companion is an excellent choice for a quick cup of fresh coffee and a sweet pastry."

"Lots to like about this spot --even on the outside. It's easy to find, and has great off-street, non parking-meter parking. Delicious cappuccino (although I don't like paper cups) and blueberry lavender scone (a little plate would be nice, it was too big for the takeout box). Lovely Large windows and plenty of seats along with friendly staff."
