"This bookstore is absolutely precious. During my stay at the hotel, I couldn’t resist going across the street to visit this adorable bookstore. The lady in the store was just as lovely as the bookstore itself. They had lots of popular books, and a used section upstairs. I appreciated the division of religion & spiritual, if you know you know. They also have a great children’s section and several places to hang out. If you are in the Homewood area - this is your new bookstore - trust! ❤️ if you are in the Birmingham area make the trip to this bookstore instead of the big box stores and show some local love, you won’t regret it! "I'd rate 100/100 stars if I could. Perhaps my favorite bookshop experience ever, and certainly my best experience in the Birmingham area. MK was such a pleasure to get to know this morning, helping to orient me around the shop, and my personal favorite part of my experience this morning was the poetry section. It's incredibly challenging to find a poetry section now that consists of more than Shakespeare, Beowulf, and other required HS reading. I was so pleasantly surprised to see some authors I hadn't seen since college, and be introduced to some new poets who were fantastic. Left with more books than I came for, and an incredibly warm, hospitable experience. Thanks MK for some Monday morning joy, and I'll be sure to be back to see you soon."
