"Stopped by Blue Plate Café on a whim around 5 p.m. after another event in town, and it turned out to be a great decision. Breakfast is served from 6:00–10:30 a.m., then the kitchen switches over to lunch until they close at 8:00 p.m., which makes it an easy spot to catch a meal later in the day. I ordered the cheeseburger—an 8 oz patty served with a generous portion of fries—for $11.49. The burger was flavorful and well-seasoned, noticeably better than similar offerings from chain diners like Denny’s or Waffle House. Everything was served hot, made to order, and clearly prepared with care using quality ingredients. My total came out to $12.52, which is outstanding value for the portion and quality. The place feels like a longtime local favorite. While the exterior and menu lean classic diner, the interior feels surprisingly classy, with linoleum tablecloths, leather seating, and barstools. I noticed several guests coming and going in business attire, which says a lot about its broad appeal. My server, Lysseth, was attentive, friendly, and happy to help guide me through the menu on my first visit. True to their unofficial motto—“to remind you of being home at Mama’s kitchen table”—Blue Plate Café delivers comfort food done right at a great price."

"Fabulous location for a quick meal. We stopped in for lunch. My Hunk wanted me to try there cheeseburgers and it didn't disappoint. We had to sit at the bar on a stool bc we didn't want to wait fifteen minutes for table. We were served quickly and I was satisfied with my delicious lunch. "Hard to believe I hadn’t been to this Huntsville landmark before this morning…Neeley and I had a few errands to run then the sky opened up…busy place but they really move folks through! Everyone was smiling and super friendly…we grabbed seats at the bar and our server took great care of us! The food is simple but the simplicity is what allows it to be damn near perfect! From the pancake appetizer to my Blue Plate Breakfast, everything was perfect. Grits were hot! Cheesy Hash was still piping hot down to the last bite. Look forward to going back to try lunch! Wish I could remember our servers name but she was a delight!"

"We went for a combined birthday party family dinner. The staff was great. They made sure everyone got everything they needed. They engaged with the younger kids making it an over all great experience. The food was really good and we were given large portions. Our picky little ones ate most of there food which in it's self sold me on coming back again!"

"I went with a couple friends to this Southern spot last weekend and over all it was a really nice time. The fried chicken had a good crunch and was seasoned well, and the collard greens kinda tasted like something my grandma would’ve made. Service was friendly, not rushed, and the place felt cozy without being too loud. Prices seemed fair for the portions, we even took leftovers home. Only tiny thing is the sweet tea was a bit sweeter than I prefer, but still alright. I’d come back again for sure."
