"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My Favorite Spot in Huntsville Phat Sammy’s is hands-down one of the best gems in Huntsville. Every time I walk through the door, I’m greeted by some of the friendliest, most welcoming staff anywhere, the kind of people who make you want to come back again and again. The vibe is unmatched: fun, tropical, laid-back, and always buzzing with good energy. Their drinks are phenomenal (easily some of the most fun drinks in town, down to the drinkware), and I am absolutely obsessed with the tuna poke nachos. If you know, you know. If you’re looking for an awesome tiki bar with great people, creative cocktails, and unforgettable food, look no further. Phat Sammy’s continues to be one of my favorite places in Huntsville, and I can’t recommend it enough. 🍹🌺"

"We are in town for an event and went wandering downtown. Found Phat Sammy’s by accident. Walking down the stairs seemed odd but the experience was great! Josey (I think is his name but the spelling may be off) was amazing and explained the food, made perfect drinks, and overall provided a great experience! We loved everything!!!!!! "We visited Huntsville, and LOVED Phat Sammy’s! Erica was the friendliest most helpful server/host/manager, helping us choose apps and entrees, as well as checking in on drinks and needs frequently. Eric as the head chef was fun and helpful too! We also appreciated as out-of-towners the local recommendations and friendly staff/atmosphere. A Must Local place in Huntsville! For menu- we loved the potstickers, the bang bang shrimp, the Bulagi beef, burgers and chicken sandwich- unique tasty menu with lots of flavor!"

"Stopped by this place for lunch on my way back from shooting on a Saturday afternoon. The entrance was slightly obscured by a giant inflatable purple tentacle (lol) so I missed it and did a lap around the block before finding it. The entrance is small and narrow and you go down some winding stairs to a basement bar and seating area. It reminds me a lot of some of the places in Tokyo's Roppongi district with their underground bars -- just Phat Sammy's doesn't get drained of Jack by a bunch of Marines on libo. But I digress. The ambiance is really nice, especially if you grew up with CRT TVs and SNES. Seeing Harvest Moon on a tube TV brings you back. Their menu is pretty eclectic, some asian fusion and American classics. I ordered the Cubano which turned out to be very good. They were running a $5 draft beer special (which included IPAs) which was also cool. The food was very good and didn't take forever to come out. I enjoyed the fries and the overall experience. Definitely a cool hidden gem where I'd take someone on a date if I was single. Probably more nostalgic if you're late 30s to early 50s, but worth a shot for anyone looking for a place to relax and chill out in a great environment."

"Definitely not the best food I’ve had. The quality was very poor. Took forever for the waiter to get me the menu and the overall atmosphere is just not great. The bar counter was not clean and overall the restaurant is not up to the minimum sanitary standard. Do not be deceived by the photos. The food looks nothing like it and does not taste great."
