from Google"This shop has an amazing atmosphere that I enjoy coming into. All of the workers are nice and diligent. They are great at conversation and making you feel welcome. Bailey was the one who helped me during my visit, she got my items quickly. The dobash, chocolate cake, and cinnamon roll macaroon tasted wonderful. Definitely coming back!"
"January 24th 2026, I am very disappointed this ruined my son's birthday. I specifically called the Old Shell road number. I placed an order for an Italian cream birthday cake an entire week prior. Me thinking I was ahead of myself patting myself on the back. Just to be disappointed. Come the day of I go to the store to pick up and I'm told my order is not there. It's at the broad Street location. If I wanted to broad Street location I would have called them and placed an order there but I never had a good experience there so I stayed the hell away. I didn't say anything. I went down there and picked up the cake. Issue number one. When you walk into the building it smells like mothballs or termites smell very uncomfortable. But I wanted my cake, I paid good money for it. So I waited. Got my cake. Took it home. We cut it ,instead of Italian cream. It's a plain cake interior with barely any Italian cream flavor to it. The cake had barely any nuts in it. It was dry and lacked the fullness of that Italian cream chunky crunchy robust flavor. The entire reason that I originally ordered the cake from the Old Shell road location was because just weeks prior we were celebrating and I ordered a 7-in Italian cream on site 2 days prior and it was perfect. It was delicious. The whole family enjoyed it. Everyone ate it and my son then stated it was the best cake he ever had and he wanted it for his birthday. So me thinking I'm giving him the best birthday cake he's ever wanted was a fail. Why distinguish the two different phone numbers for the two locations? If you're just going to decide which place my order goes to when you take my order on the phone, I specifically called the Old Shell road location. Why did my order go to broad Street? And why was my cake made differently from the cake I bought prior 2 weeks before? I'm so irritated because no one at the party was satisfied with that cake. Most of it went the trash so I wasted 70 bucks. It's like whoever was baking that cake at that broad Street location was being stingy with the ingredients and did not put any flavor into my cake ,like why? $70 is a lot of money and I worked hard for that just to be wasted. I'm teed."
"Fantastic cake. It deserves its reputation. I will say one of the young ladies was kind of rude and blew me off when they could not find my order. But the other employee was so nice and helpful it evened things out."
"A friend and I meet for coffee occasionally at Pollman’s Old Shell Rd. Ash and Reagan are friendly, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about products.. They offer great service helping to make our experience enjoyable AND they make good coffee. The atmosphere is basic, clean and can be loud with sound reverberating off hard surfaces but still a pleasant experience. I’m not a huge fan of sweets so odd I’m writing a bakery review. But I like their oatmeal raisin cookies. My children like their sugar cookies. I’ve heard good things about other sweets and breads. I’ll soon try their breads."
"I have gotten baked goods at the old shell location a few times now and every time I am unimpressed. I have been going to pollmans since I was a child and at this new location everything taste different and not in a good way. The chocolate dobage cakes used to be fanominal and now they taste like a generic store cake. I thought it was just me but everyone in my family noticed it as well in the past two cakes we have bought. They also haven’t had the infamous petifors and cupcake/icecream cookies that pollmans is known for all three times I have gone in. Maybe their sandwiches are good idk but for a bake shop they are lacking on their baked goods taste and selection."
