"Boy was this an amazing find! This food is not only amazing but was the best home cooked meal we got on our whole trip to Mobile. When I tell you they put their foot in everything they make, I mean it! The love and passion for what they are putting out really shows. Do not hesitate and go ahead and get that broccoli and cheese casserole as a side, you will NOT be disappointed. I had to fight my family off of it after letting them taste it. If you are looking for some good southern soulfood, look no further cause this is your place. They have flavored teas as well! I gladly got the strawberry sweet tea, mmmm mmmmm was it tasty!! Very old school feel in the dining room and my kiddos loved the swivel chairs. We already can't wait to go back just to eat here again. There service was super friendly and helpful as well. Go ahead and go! You won't regret it."

"First of all, let me say this building is old. It can be hard to keep something like that clean. That’s my biggest concern with this restaurant, added to that it tends to be very hot in the warmer month. Chairs and tables are dirty. Now let’s move on to the positive. The food was amazing. Chopped steak, vegetable medley and country fried steak were a few of the items on our table. All that and the sides were very good, fresh and hot. Great home/southern/soul cooking, whatever you want to call it. Good service, friendly people. Affordably priced lunch specials."

"Food was on point! Stopped in due to curiosity. I'm glad I did! It's been a long while since i had amy good soul food, and this blew me away! I had The Chef Ms. Lillie, fix my plate for me, and she absolutely knows what she's doing. 2 sides, 1 entree, a drink, and a desert put me at about $20 plus tip, and it was most definitely worth it. They also offer catering, which is good to know! I highly recommend this place if you're out west mobile. Note: They recently moved from their Moffet location, so if you've been a customer, come on out this way!"

"tihe atmosphere was good for a Sunday morning. They had inspirational music playing which I like but it wasn't loud or overbearing. The cashier was friendly and got our order just right. The lady came out from the back to fix it she acknowledged us and asked us how we were doing which was nice. You can tell she had a spiritual attitude as well. The place was not ideal for families eating in there are only a few tables with 2 to each table. I don't mind that though because it just right with the cozy atmosphere. We got our food to go and it was just two of us so that was fine. I will definitely be back. I do recommend for others to try. Their prices are great for what you get."
