"Came in for Christmas. Let me Preface this with the ending of a $180 tab. Keep that in mind From the lobby to the ballroom, every-ring is stunning. It was so gorgeously decorated for Christmas. My husband and I were super excited to dine here. This was our Christmas gift to each other this year, instead of presents. It was also a celebration for his birthday. Gary who I made the reservation through (very nice) asked if there was anything about the reservation worth noting and I did tell him it was his birthday and if we could do something a little special for him and Gary assured me he would take care of that. I also emailed in and was assured this would happen as well. We were seated in the crystal ballroom, and unfortunately it was at table38 or 28 I believe but it was the table directly next to the server station where they take the dirty plates and glasses. And this is where we would get to listen to the employees talk poorly about their tables for the duration of our brunch here, including our own sever. The food selection was mediocre at best. The summer squash lasagna was probably the best thing we tried. You could tell the food had been sitting out for a long time. The lamb was decent as well. Unfortunately none of the deserts were labeled so we couldn’t try anything due to an allergy. All in all we had 2 mimosas each and one plate of food. Our waitress couldn’t have been bothered. Our glasses sat empty the majority of our time there. No one seemed remotely like they wanted to be there staff wise. I get it, it’s Christmas… but when we’re spending $240 on brunch and we get this experience, it’s so disappointing. We ended up coming home to Chinese take out after our time here. Oh and no one acknowledged my husbands birthday."
"Plan to pull up in front of the hotel for parking which is complimentary if you’re dining at this restaurant. The service at this restaurant was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and ensured our experience was enjoyable. She followed the “two-minute, two-bite” rule, refilled drinks promptly, and pre-bussed the table as needed. She also inquired about appetizers and offered dessert, adding a personal touch to the meal. As for the food, the short ribs were definitely a standout—tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The chicken Parmesan was also good; though I’m not a fan of thick noodles, the dish itself was flavorful, and the portion size was generous. The arancini appetizer was a great choice as well, pairing perfectly with the freshly baked bread. For dessert, the cheesecake was house-made and had a great balance of traditional flavors with a hint of strawberry. A word of advice: if you’re taking it to go, be sure to ask for the whipped cream on the side, as it tends to melt and turn the cake into a gooey mess. All together- huge portions, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced."
"One of the best restaurant experiences I had in Mobile. Located inside the battle house some of the best food and drinks we had on the gulf coast. Went on a Thursday (date night). Service was amazing food came out quick. If you’re visiting or a local you need to stop and check them out. Our waitress Rachel was amazing. Thanks"
"I wasn't impressed with the food. The marinara sauce was tasteless and the tapanade was too garlicky. I ordered the lasagna and it was burnt on the bottom. The meals were overpriced."
