What People Are Saying
from Google"This place makes me so happy. I have been here 4 times for lunch in about a week and a half, because it reminds me of my grandmothers. I, or someone in my family, has had turkey wings, fried chicken, oz tails, meatloaf, smothered pork chop, and essentially all of the side orders. The collard greens and rice and gravy are probably my favorites. The ladies who work here are lovely. They are set up for takeaway as well if that is what you need."
"Passing through on a roadtrip, and this place was one of my favorite restaurants of the entire trip. Everyone is so friendly and cool, the food is incredible and well-priced. A regular helped me with my order and I was super impressed. True southern hospitality and class. Fried catfish was the bomb!! I ordered the chitterlings - maybe don’t do that. My bad!!! Much love from California ❤️❤️❤️"
"Tried this place and the desert was excelent. I got sweet potato pie. I ordered baked chicken and mac and cheese and collard green. Collards on point. Mac and cheese a lil too salty but otherwise good. Chicken was FALL OFF THE BONE good. My only gripe was the parking. I almost hit someone because its so tight and chaotic."
"This is the definition of southern soul food. Food so good that it could start a fight if someone snatches your cornbread."
"This is a nice hidden little gem here in Montgomery! I’ll tell you, the sides are fantastic! Classic yams, mac, cornbread, greens etc. While I’ve had better fried chicken(s), this still gets an honorable mention for that ole’ southern style cooking. All are welcome and they do accept cash/card. We got two meals for just around $25. Not bad!"
