"I visited Selma this morning on a Great Migration trip. As I walked the city just ground myself with history as I stumbled upon the BLACK GEM. I am from Michigan, I walked in and saw BLACK patrons, officers, and working civilians. I felt at home as I listened in on the small talk. I ordered THE BEST salted caramel frappe I ever had. I also bought a white chocolate raspberry scone (I hate scones but needed something sweet). Best scone ever! It was soft, buttery, sweet, and filling! "I loved this little cafe. Selma is unfortunately a very dilapidated city, but this little stop right next to downtown is so well kept and the service is great, the coffee is yummy, and their baked goods are amazing. I had a cupcake and iced coffee and loved it. Would definitely return!"

"Not a big coffee drinker but decided to stop by and see what this place had to offer and was not disappointed. Just a small little coffee shoppe but the staff was super friendly and helpful in choosing an option. Decided to try 2 things off the menu,a Frozen Hot Chocolate and a Strawberry/Banana smoothie....BOTH WERE BETTER THAN I COULDVE EVER HOPED. Seriously,That was probably THE best strawberry/banana smoothie I have ever had. And the frozen got chocolate will make you never want actual hot chocolate again!!!"
