"When I think of Mexican food, I do not think Tuscaloosa, AL. Found this place tucked back off a main street in the downtown area. Table seating in and out, decent selection of menu items, tried the carnitas plate and was pleasantly surprised. The pork was plentiful, tender and moist, a dish most restaurants ruin. The enchilada platter was an excellent dish with good spice but not overly hot, the chips and salsa was more meh due to the salsa having no flavor, no bite, no taste except like a watery tomato sauce. Server kept the drinks coming without being asked, prices are moderate. Give it a solid 4 stars."

As a Latina, I can say the food was extremely delicious and it was also a big amount considering the price. The service was very good. 100% recommended, we will definitely be back."

"This place was recommended by someone at the UA welcome center and we decided to give it a try. We were very happy with our choice. We arrived right when it opened so we were the only people there. The service was great, the food was amazing and the atmosphere and decor was fun. We ordered the three tacos (al pastor, tilapia and chicken), the Big Mad Wolf burrito (too much to eat for one meal) and the Fajita Gumbo - their "signature dish". All were great and we were all happy with the food and the value of the food. The chips and salsa were great too. This is a fabulous place to eat and they are opening a bar next door next week."

"I’m not sure why this restaurant hasn’t received all 5 star reviews. It’s the best in town and one of the best Mexicans we’ve had anywhere in the country. We’ve been t here more than I can count and every time the food has been fantastic. The portion size and the prices are also great. And the servers are wonderful. One of the servers, Jose, is very friendly and always makes great food recommendations."
