What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Should I drive 45 minutes for breakfast? HECK YEAH! This place blew my expectations away. To start, Shannon, our server, was exceptional. Thank you so much for great service! Now, the food is off the charts! The biscuits were perfect. The gravy was a great white pepper gravy. The hash browns were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The eggs cooked exactly to order. And then there's the tenderloin. Don't know what to say about it. It was that good. I felt like I was"back home again in Indiana"! The only thing I could say is I wish they would call it the Boilermaker Cafe instead, LOL!"
"We drove 45 minutes to experience this wonderful establishment. I had the pork tenderloin breakfast. (Not on the menu), which comes with eggs, hash browns, and choice of toast or biscuits and gravy. I couldn't even get close to finishing this monstrous breakfast. This place serves Indiana homestyle comfort food that did not disappoint. Everything was delicious here. A must try! This is the first 5 star breakfast of the year. 👍🩷"
"Thanknyou to Sannon and the staff for a great first time here. Chicken fried steak was totally worth it. The green chilli waffle good and would be a great starter for the table. All the best and see you again soon!!"
"I cannot recommend this place enough! It's a perfect Little spot for breakfast or lunch and ive yet to have a bad time while im there. Staff is more than willing to accommodate special requests and they're quick to recognize you. It feels like the diner from the tiny town I grew up in. Totally stop by!"
"Unfortunately had a disappointing meal. This place is nearby and always busy with good reviews so we thought we would get some takeout for Sunday brunch. We ordered the chicken and waffles (waffles were good) but the chicken was not even chicken it was the foamy McDonald’s chicken-nugget texture! Usually with chicken and waffles you expect an actual fried chicken tender. For $16 per meal I would rather they do 2 real chicken tenders versus 3 fake foamy chicken nuggets. Frozen Tyson brand chicken strips would’ve been better. The syrup was the corn syrup type (my boyfriend actually likes that syrup so it’s personal preference) not maple syrup and was disgustingly slimy."
"Want a taste of a great Midwest breakfast. From the friendly staff to the excellent food, Hoosier Cafe has become my regular stop on weekends. Very friendly..."
