"Absolutely love this place! No chain coffee shop here. The breakfast burrito was 10/10 on flavor and portion size. Highly recommended. The cashier assisted the Cold Boo is a favorite. Upon taking the first sip I understood why. Excited to come back one evening for happy hour and tap into their craft beer selection. A solid number of choices to check out. With the drop in weather temperatures check out their outdoor patio. Great place to enjoy your latte or lager while reconnecting with friends"

"I got their berry smoothie. I’m gonna go ahead and say it isn’t a smoothie with fruit. It appears it’s just ice and juice? Separation occurred within a few minutes. 3 minutes max to be more specific. Speaking of specific: they should probably change the name of the drink from “smoothie” to “slushy” as it has the consistency of a slushy. Crazy to charge over $8 for that drink though if it is just juice and ice. I see no seeds from fruit in the drink. Nice environment and service though."

"We recently visited Hava Java in Mesa, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The overall experience was pretty subpar. We ordered summer watermelon drinks for the kids and a lavender latte for myself — none of which were particularly enjoyable or worth the drive. The coffee was just "eh" and didn’t stand out in any way. As for the food, it was okay at best, but not something we’d return for. We tried the Hummus Plate, flatbread pizza, and green chili quesadilla. The flatbread was a letdown — the sauce was overly salty, the cheese wasn’t even melted, and the whole thing was soggy. The Hummus Plate didn’t leave much of an impression either. The quesadilla was the best of the bunch, but still just average. Service was lukewarm. The two women working behind the counter didn’t seem particularly happy to be there and came off as annoyed, especially while we were trying to figure out what to order as first-timers. Overall, this spot didn’t hit the mark for us. Between the lackluster drinks, underwhelming food, and so-so service, we won’t be making a return trip"

"Hava Java has been a wonderful staple in Mesa and I have loved coming here for the last 6+ years. From morning study sessions to quick bites after being on the river, Hava Java has always been my go-to! With that being said, I’ve been considering leaving this review for almost a year. Unfortunately, I have had several interactions with staff that have finally prompted me to say something. What used to be a consistently positive interaction with (past) staff has declined into less than welcoming, stale customer service. I have had several baristas consistently talk to myself and (other customers) as if we are an inconvenience for ordering. Having worked in customer service, I can completely empathize with having an “off day”. It totally happens; we’re all human. But in my experience, this has been a consistent issue. Beyond the staff having a generally unwelcoming energy, I would still enthusiastically recommend the establishment on all other grounds. I’m hoping that this issue may be taken into consideration because I genuinely love this coffee shop and would like to continue coming here."

"Wow!!! This place is sooooo cute, such a comfortable vibe. The girl helping us was super sweet. We just stopped on our way for a coffee but I will most definitely be back. Saved for the next time we are in town. I ran into the owner who informed us of their open mic nights and the best thing teen bands get stage time. So madly impressed with everything about this spot. a MUST STOP!!"
