What People Are Saying
from Google"Olive and Ivy is certainly a beautiful spot, making it a perfect place for a nice night out or a happy hour stop. The atmosphere and aesthetics here are easily five stars; sitting at the bar was a great experience with a bustling, lively energy. However, I have to be honest about the food I ordered. I focused on small plates during my visit, trying the Shrimp and Calamari Frito Misto and the Lamb Meatballs. While the ingredients were clearly fresh and the portions were fine, I found both dishes to be just okay. They unfortunately lacked a lot of flavor and punch. The seasoning was really muted, and I was hoping for something more vibrant to match the restaurant's stunning setting. The service at the bar was attentive and quick, and the cocktails I saw looked amazing. I am rating this four stars because the overall ambiance and service make it a wonderful place to be. I will absolutely be back to try some of their other mains or pasta dishes, hoping the flavor profiles there are stronger. Come for the incredible patio and atmosphere, maybe stick to a few different menu items if you're a flavor chaser like me!"
"My 2-day adventure in booking a table here 2h in advance finally went to an end resulting in a reservation outside. Even in that rainy afternoon the place was crowded, so it's better to book a table. Nevertheless, the staff kindly accommodated me inside as a better option, I didn't hope for. Then followed a fresh bruschetta with an incredible pesto sauce. The dates wrapped in bacon turned out delightful. So delicious was the chicken scalloppini in parmesan and prosciutto. The energetic atmosphere and thoughtful service by Keiran complemented the overall positive experience of this place."
"A great choice for lunch! Both salads tasted great. The complimentary breag and pesto was awesome. We also ordered the crispy brussel sprouts, cooked very well, not overcooked at all, great flavor! The outside seating was nice, noticed running fountain and the misting stations were a great addition to the patio! I would recommend this lovely place. Oh the inside seating looked spacious and inviting as well. 0ur server Collin (hoped I spelled his name right) he was friendly, helpful with recommending menu items as well."
"Make a reservation, it’s a must! We visited for the first time and were so glad we booked ahead! Both the patio and the dining room were completely full. The atmosphere is beautiful inside and out. The food was delicious (do not skip the Brussels sprouts!), and the service was excellent. As soon as the sun went down, they turned on the patio heaters to keep us cozy. It’s the perfect spot to relax with great drinks and even better food."
"We loved this place so much that we came back for a second visit the very next day. It’s definitely best to make a reservation, as it gets extremely busy. I tried the steamed mussels as an appetizer on the first day, and they were so good that I ordered them as an entrée when we returned the next day. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside along the canal, and the restaurant provides plenty of umbrellas if it gets sunny. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in Scottsdale, but when I am, this will absolutely be a place I return to."
