"It is rare that I even take the time to leave a restaurant review unless I am super disappointed and need to get the word out. In this case it was the opposite. We couldn't wait to get home and write one. Vespa is that good. We were planning to go to Gerardo's but it was packed and the wait was an hour. So we googled "Italian restaurants" and Vespa looked like a great option. It is located in an unassuming spot next to Whole foods. In fact, at first glance it looked almost like a takeout place but we went in anyhow. As soon as we walked inside we realized we found the jackpot. The staff, the lively ambience (nothing crazy but small, clean, modern, and cozy), and the smell from the kitchen (fresh, heavenly, but not overly garlic in nature) told us we found our new favorite restaurant in Sedona. Every dish we had was amazing. Salad, pizza, appetizers, dessert. Very reasonably priced and honestly better than many high dollar big city restaurants we have been to. And we are major foodies. As an added bonus, there is plenty of great parking right out front. We will definitely be coming back here on a regular basis for sure!"

"Awesome Italian food. Dining area is a bit small so if coming in during rush hour the wait could be a bit long. However, the fantastic food makes up for all of the wait. The salad is fresh and crisp. Pizza has great bread and cheese red sauce flavor. The chicken parmesani is so good. The chick has soaked in the flavor of the tomato sauce and it’s tender. I was already fun but end up finish it all."

"My hubby and I picked this spot while we were visiting Sedona for the day and I’m glad we did. The food is amazing!!! I’m pretty picky and have high standards when it comes to my food being seasoned good. Let me tell you, just come on in and have a seat and let your taste buds jump for joy. I’ve had pizza in Italy before and this pizza here is pretty darn close. The staff here is also amazing. We got an intro to the restaurant and it’s history from one of the lovely chefs and an introduction to digestives from one of the staff members (I forgot his name, really enthusiastic, hilarious brown haired guy). 😁 We shall return. . . The food was so good we ordered pizza to-go for tomorrow."

"This meal was a standout from start to finish. The chicken parmigiana was executed with real finesse — a beautifully cooked chicken breast that remained exceptionally juicy and tender, never dry, with a depth of flavor that speaks to proper technique. The basil was the star here: fragrant, vibrant, and perfectly integrated, lending a fresh, herbaceous lift that cut through the richness and brought the dish into perfect balance. Every bite felt intentional and refined. The Giulio salad was far from an afterthought. Crisp, garden-fresh lettuce formed the base, complemented by croutons that were toasted to golden perfection — light, airy, and satisfyingly crunchy. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural flavors without overpowering them, resulting in a clean, well-composed dish that showed restraint and precision. Overall, this was thoughtful, well-crafted cooking that highlights quality ingredients and confident execution. A place that clearly respects both flavor and technique — and one I’d happily return to."

"This place was recommended to me by a hiker I met earlier in the day, and I'm so glad that I came here. I was famished after hiking around Sedona, and this place definitely hit the spot. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and they were patient in explaining how the menu is laid out. I dined at a table and my waitress was fantastic. I didn't catch her name, but she was brand new and did a lovely job serving me. I ended up getting the Bruschetta Capri, the Sfizio, and a glass bottle of coke. The bruschetta was absolutely fantastic. It tasted super fresh and was the perfect start of my dinner. The Sfizio had to be some of the best pizza I've EVER had. Mind you, I'm a native New Yorker, so I know good pizza. I can't say that this pizza is what most people would expect, but I really like their unique take on it. The crust is crispy but light and chewy at the same time. It's hard to explain, but it was just too good. The toppings were all very fresh and tasty as well, and very balanced. I'm really happy that they offered Coke in a glass bottle because it definitely tastes much better than the Coke in the can. They also served me water upon seating me which is a nice touch as well. The ambiance in the restaurant was so calm and chill. They had classical music playing in the background, and even had a movie playing from a projector on the wall (Sabrina from 1954). Everything just went together so well to create a calm dining experience which was the perfect end to my day of hiking. I will also note that the restaurant was very clean. The utensils, plates, table, and even the bathroom were spotless It's a shame that I live so far away, because I would be coming to this place often otherwise. This is definitely a spot I recommend anybody check out if you're in the area"
