"f you're a coffee nerd or you're looking to try new roasts, I highly recommend this place. I stopped in at Cortez Coffee this afternoon expecting to dash in and out, but I got sucked into a long and interesting conversation with Ron, who owns and operates the place. He knows tons about coffee (the science of roasting, the coffee industry, etc.) and is eager to discuss it. He also kept offering me free samples of his roasts, which were all tasty. The white roast was particularly good (and extremely caffeinated). Ron may seem a little intense at first, but he's a very friendly and personable guy with a wide range of interests. I'll definitely be going back, if for no other reason than to say hi and have a chat."
