from Google & Yelp"First time visitor. Mind blown - two burritos come in every order!!! We got chorizo and machaca and both were excellent, I'd choose the machaca next time. The line was long for a Thursday at 11am, but it moved quickly and our order came out quickly once we ordered. Our iced latte (Horchesso) was also delicious. I'll be back everytime I visit Tucson. Five stars all around!"
"The coffee is good. The burritos are delicious. The tamale was good but has just a little piece of meet. There is enough space to sit, but isn't really clean. There is no many parking spots around."
"Machacha breakfast burrito and dulce de leche latte were both fantastic. Also very cutesy neighborhood seating area on a nice day. A little hard to find parking, but it is a cute walk."
"Listen, I'm a breakfast burrit-HOE. I LOVE me some breakfast burritos, this spot slapped. I got mine with the machaca and bacon! The juice was refreshing as well, came out quick. Dope spot to just chill, vibe, everyone was in a good mood. Barista was kind and helped make a recommendation on the burrito! You GOTTA check it out if you love a burrito in the city"
"Serious food safety concern and poor customer service: I visited Barista del Barrio on 12/19/2025 and had an extremely disappointing experience involving a food allergy issue. I ordered two breakfast burritos through their self-service kiosk, selecting the "Gluten Allergy" option for my girlfriend's order, as she had a gluten allergy. When we received our food, the staff indicated which burrito was marked as gluten-free. However, it was wrapped in a regular flour tortilla. When we politely brought this to their attention and requested a burrito bowl instead, the manager informed us that: 1. They don't carry gluten-free tortillas 2. It was our fault for ordering gluten-free through the kiosk 3. We should have known better and ordered at the register 4. They would only remake the order if we paid full price for a new one The manager was condescending, explaining that "flour tortillas aren't gluten free"—as if my girlfriend hasn't been managing this condition for nearly her entire life. If gluten-free options aren't available, they shouldn't be selectable on the ordering kiosk. Having this option enabled when they cannot fulfill it is misleading and potentially dangerous for people with celiac disease or severe gluten intolerance. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone with dietary restrictions. The combination of a confusing ordering system and unwillingness to correct their mistake without additional charge shows a lack of concern for customer safety."
"Friendly service and a gem tucked away in a neighborhood. I came down to Tucson for work and after 1.5 hrs driving, was hungry. This place came up first on..."
