What People Are Saying
from Google"My friend and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fat Cats in Avila Beach, and it was truly a delightful experience! The highlight of my meal was the seafood omelette. It was stuffed with a generous portion of fresh seafood, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Each bite was bursting with flavor, making it a standout dish that I can't stop thinking about. To top it off, I indulged in one of their freshly made cinnamon rolls. It was warm and gooey, with just the right amount of sweetness, making it the perfect finish to my meal. What made our visit even more enjoyable was our server, Logan. He was genuinely friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. He went out of his way to accommodate our requests, which made us feel valued as customers. Overall, Fat Cats exceeded my expectations with its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—you won't be disappointed!"
"Great food and view. The owner came out with an employee discussing things that he wanted done. We started joking with him. Very friendly he asked how our meal was and stopped at a couple other tables as well. This was my second time there. I went there three years ago and we had to go back. Today we ordered onion rings, fried green beans both yummy. I got crab cakes and my friend got an Avila Burgrr, delicious. We didn't have room for dessert if I did I would have gotten the bread pudding maybe next time... Went back today and got a chili relleno stuffed with seafood lobster, crab, shrimp. Oh, my goodness soooo good!"
"This cafe is on near the pier at Avila and has a view of the harbor. I stopped in for breakfast. I asked for a scramble without eggs. #allergygirl got a delicious mix of broccoli, onions, zucchini, tomatoes and potatoes and a side of sourdough toast. Having allergies makes breakfast a hard meal to order. Fat Cats hit it out of the park! Thanks!!"
"This place is legendary in the area. We have been several times over the last 30 years. For being on the harbor I was hoping for more of a fish selection. The menu was mostly crab, a few cods, and shrimp. I did get the breaded prawns and they were good with the rice pilaf. My husband got the fish and chips and he enjoyed them."
"The waitstaff was excellent, the cinnamon rolls were amazing, and the view was beautiful. I would go back for the cinnamon rolls. The crab benedict was good and had a fair serving of crab."
