"Just went for fish and chips and the Ice tea lol. Its still an old time favorite not much has changed in there except theres no more bowling alley so its a little quieter in there and feels smaller because the bowling alley area now has a WALL up .Dont except fancy and youll be ok ;) Just order the fish and chips ! Enjoy, the team in there is friendly its like and old dinner still has the counter area you can sit at if you'd like . The prices are reasonable and you can fo take out and call in ahead a pickup. "So I went today January 31st to have lunch with my Chieldren, manager was outstanding but the server didn't even knowledge us we waited and waited and waited for someone to come to take our order finally I asked the manager if the server can take our order. The server for this area where I was did not make it to our table so the manager got someone else to come and take it, we are definitely not coming back back we didn't care for the for the place or the service, food is great don't get me wrong but the whole thing was just horrible, such a bad experience🫣🥺😬😬😡"

"I will say I love the location but that’s about it. Growing up this was the place to be! Well when they were downtown(are they still there? Hope not bar too was covered in baby German roaches) yuck! However that’s downtown and OLD buildings. Gave them a shot because this is a nice area plus I’ve heard good reviews. Well now I know why. The people coming here are the same ones who have kept them in business for so long. Kudos to die hard Bakersfield-Ians. And good for a local family spot. But man oh man you can not skyrocket prices AND give mediocre serving sizes. I looked at Google photos and none of my plates came with those sized portions. Best fish and chips in town? Frozen fish tiny chunks and soggy. A couple nuggets at best. And the chips (fries) are just unseasoned frozen crinkle cut fries. Service is bogus the waitresses stood flirting with old chaps and ignored us when we needed sauces. Sorry but please do better. I don’t understand the hyperfixation. Too many flaws. Maybe will try in a year or so."
