What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"The order was a macchiato and a cappuccino (left / right respectively), the size of both drinks were astronomical! The "textured milk" was a cloudy foam that resembles burnt milk, and the espresso shots used for both beverages seemed like they roast their coffee to endure a nuclear apocalypse! If you're gonna spend $5+ in a "coffee" you might as well get a hot choc, maybe they do that decently."

"The place is a secret but that only means it's a hidden Jewel. You could tell immediately as soon as you walk through the door it's a coffee. But they do much more. The customer service is warm and welcoming which we all need these days. The only downside is that they don't have a take home menu or online menu. You just have to go inside to see what they have. The chicken Asian salad is okay; the Asian dressing is the show. The Price is not bad so go in and check it out"

"The coffee is great it’s just a shame the service is so awful. I’ve worked in coffee shops before and you’re always supposed to greet customers with a warm welcome and a smile. I waited in a long line and as soon as it got to my turn they ignored me for several minutes to work on orders. No greeting or warmth from cashier or barista. A simple iced latte also took forever to make but customers who came after me immediately got theirs. Just weird energy overall. Won’t be back as a regular, and it sucks because I almost made this one of my go-to spots."

"I got low carb breakfast plate. Food seems very unhealthy like not cooked at the place fully but heated (like sausage and eggs). Small plate size. My spouse got fresh orange juice that was pricy. I would not recommend."

"I've decided I'm done with this place. I originally started coming here because they have a really good lox bagel. I'm the type of person who enjoys spending money on food I can't make at home. The smoothies and coffee you get here were nothing to complain about, either. And as far as I was concerned, it was and still is the only cafe that sells bagels in Benicia (unless you count Starbucks). This cafe has received a lot of my praise. After two years, I've learned the sandwiches weren't worth coming here for, the breakfast burrito is microwaved, and the breakfast sandwich is nothing to rave about. The final straw was today, when I saw a croissant and a "breakfast croissant" for an extra dollar, and decided to spend the extra dollar for a better croissant. If the croissant pictured in my review was the better option, I wonder what the other croissant looked like. Finally, and for a long time now, it seems like Rrags is unable to keep bagels in stock past 10AM. So why keep coming here for the one good thing on the menu when they can't make it half the time? The service here is pretty good, otherwise. If the roasting area in the middle of the restaurant wasn't being used as storage, the inside wasn't so cramped, and the parking was better, my opinion would improve."

"Very friendly local coffee shop that roasts their own beans! They had a remodel a couple months ago and the place looks fantastic. The vibe is super..."
