"I’ve been here a few times, mainly because I’m obsessed with the cat. I came in planning to grab a chagacino and ended up ordering a matcha chagacino and a pistachio latte because why not? Both were 😋 the matcha had that clean boost and the pistachio latte was creamy and nutty in the best way. I also got The Caffeinated Breakfast and the Persian bagel on an everything bagel from Bouchik Bagels, and if you know, you know those bagels are 🔥. The dill cream cheese, cucumber, and tomato combo hit the spot. They had a couple kiosks down, so only one was taking cards, but the real MVP was Adura. He helped me figure out my orders on the kiosk and made sure everything went through. I also saw him helping the team like a total pro. Super polite, super helpful. Five stars just for his energy. Overall, the drinks I got were tasty, the food was solid, and the cat-themed cups always get me. I even grabbed a cat mug this time because obviously. I’ll definitely be back for another latte and one of those bagels again soon."

"Large, spacious coffee shop on College Ave. I’ve been here twice, and it was packed both days, even on a holiday. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. I came in hoping to do some work on my laptop, but had to leave to another coffee shop for internet. Coffee is decent. Haven’t tried the food. Lots of tables, counter seats, communal table seats, sofa seats (a little awkward if you want to do some work.) It’d be 4 stars if their internet worked."

"We just had a delicious lunch at Caffeinated Coffee on College Avenue & Ashby. Manuel recommended we get the Caffeinated Breakfast speccial with scrambled eggs, sliced avocados, potatoes and salmon( we could have also had it with bacon). I had mine either added cheese on my eggs and all three of us had a delightful lunch. Even their bathroom was beautiful!"

"This is my third time at Cafenated — I don’t know why I keep coming back expecting it to be better. The coffee is serviceable — but there’s so much better coffee in Berkeley that it just feels ridiculous paying premium prices for something so mediocre in comparison. But the biggest offender here is the food. This is Berkeley. Why are you serving me a translucent, unsalted tomato on an open faced bagel sandwich? Who is impressed by this oddly showy presentation when the food being displayed is so lackluster? And when I’ve ordered the salads, the issue has been similar. Bland. Clearly low grade Sysco food covered in sugary dressing. Why is this such a popular Berkeley establishment? Why is it so expensive when other places that clearly use fresh local produce are cheaper? Poppy Bagels open faced classic sandwich makes this look like 15th century peasant food. And it’s two dollars cheaper! Ultimately, it’s just disappointment. Both Cafenated locations in Berkeley are taking up beautiful real estate, and I wish we had higher standards."

"Have I tried coffee every single coffee establishment on college avenue between Hudson and Ashby? Yes. Does this one have the best coffee and the most consistently reliable and pleasant baristas? Yes. I Hope they never fix the Wi-Fi. There are people actually having conversations here."
