What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"The morning sun hits Beverly Hills like a blinding interrogation lamp, and there, tucked just off the civilized madness, sits Tryst Café—an oasis for those who still believe coffee should come with purpose, not hashtags. I wandered in half-alive, a refugee from the digital wasteland, and the Americano they handed me was less a beverage and more an awakening—a jet-black sermon in a porcelain chalice. This was no lukewarm chain-store sludge. No watered-down brown apology. This Americano came roaring out of the machine like truth under pressure—dark, hot, unflinching. One sip and I could feel my pulse recalibrate, the fog lift, and the world snap back into sharp focus. You don’t drink it—you survive it. The place hums with a quiet sophistication that doesn’t try too hard. Sunlight filters through the windows, jazz whispers somewhere in the background, and the staff moves with that calm, practiced rhythm of people who know the power they hold behind the espresso machine. They aren’t serving drinks—they’re administering medicine for the modern condition. You can sit inside, watching Beverly Hills parade past like a fever dream of wealth and illusion, or hide out on the patio, where time slows just enough for the caffeine to find its mark. The pastries are dangerous, the food looks like it was plated by angels on deadline, but the Americano… that’s the story. Five stars, easy. Tryst Café is the rare sanctuary where a man can still find clarity in a cup—pure, dark, and uncompromising. A jolt of truth in a city built on illusions."

"the person that works here is sooooo sweet she made the food taste better with her welcoming and kind nature… and the vegan breakfast burrito was BOMB loved the hot potatoes and tofu with melted cheese, and the kale and avocado lightened everything out. not the cheapest place but reasonably priced for beverly!"

"The food was fine, but my protein shake had pieces of walnut shell in it, which were extremely hard and impossible to chew. On top of that, the cafe didn’t have a bathroom, which is honestly absurd. The smoothie with the default chips cost $16.50."

"Oh My God! This is one of the worst experiences at a coffee shop I have had in my entire life. I bought coffee and food at their establishment to eat on premise but had an outside beverage and was asked to leave. This place was empty - understand why - and the service was miserably horrible. Save your self time - go somewhere else. Coffee and food was subpar. The ONLY good thing about this location - no wait - no customers - empty - ghost town. /// Follow-Up Response to Owner: None of the events you described below are accurate for our experience. This must have been another unhappy customer. We were only at your establishment once… I was asked to leave due to a beverage from the outside and the plate of food was transitioned to a to go bag. Best of luck to you and your business - you will need it."

"Absolutely wonderful, little charming café. Everything about this establishment is wonderful. The owner is an incredible burst of sunshine and always cheerful. They always greet you by name and are extremely polite and warm, consistently without fail. In a big city such as Beverly Hills/Los Angeles, it is very rare to have people recognize and acknowledge you by name at cafés or restaurants. So, that is always really refreshing and human. The dishes, drinks, sandwiches and wraps are presented so beautifully and pleasantly. True works of art! The chefs are all extremely hardworking and genuine artists. So artistic in their presentation; efficient, kind and quick. The whole team here is a group of super nice and easily likable people. The food is not only presented with aesthetic and style but also very flavorful. The prices are also quite fair and decent. Their hours of operation are also very good and they always cater to their customers' needs and address any issues swiftly. Overall, a winner of a choice for a café on any given day of the week. Give Tryst Caffe a try at least once, you will love it and definitely not regret it. Really solid and good hang-out spot in the community with a lovely atmosphere, design, food and name! Love it. 💜🌞"
