What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"We walked here from our hotel and we’re so glad we did! The coffee is amazing - high quality, made with care, unique - and the food is phenomenal. We ordered the frittata breakfast sandwich and added prosciutto. You HAVE to try it - adding the prosciutto is worth it I’m telling you!! It’s even better than it looks in the picture. We wish we had Equator Coffee back home!"
"The veggie frittata sandwich on gluten free waffle bread was excellent. Small and a little pricey at $14. Lattes are $7. Habibi one was great. In a business park but nice. No parking. Clean. Long wait to order at 8 am, 15 minutes then wait for food. tho it didn’t seem that crowded. Staff seemed busy and focused on tasks, not especially friendly. Flat affect from all of them. Not sure why. But still tasted good!"
"Stopped by Equator Coffees in Burlingame after visiting MetaLab and really enjoyed it. The matcha green tea was smooth and well-balanced, service was friendly, and the location is lovely. A great spot to relax—I’d come back."
"The best spot to get coffee, walk, ride bicycle by the water or read a book/work. The coffee is superb. Pastries are always fresh. The place gets busy over the weekend — if you want the biggest pastry selection, come by earlier in the morning :) Dog friendly 🐶🐾"
"Updated review 4/6/2025: Downgraded to two stars from five stars due to exorbitant wait time for food. 30+ minutes wait for a waffle breakfast sandwich w/prosciutto $14.50 is ridiculous. This is because the staff don't check if the correct customers are picking up. Someone else picked up my food even though I stopped him and asked the front girl to check if that was mine. She assured it was his. Sure enough, when mine came out, it was the previous person's. The staff didn't apologize and gave me a blank stare. They had to remake it. When it did finally come out, I was no longer in a good mood. Food don't taste good when people are in a bad mood. Today's front crew were incompetent. Original review: Equator is an excellent coffee shop. We had the cappuccino (2 shots of espresso) $4.25 & almond croissant $6. Both were very good. I like sitting outside to breathe in that fresh air. They have a bike rack on the side. The only drawback is the wait times. It took 15 minutes for the drink to come out. They were nice enough to heat up the croissant, but by the time the drink came out, the croissant turned cold already."
"Equator Coffees continues to prove that coffee can be both art and ritual, especially when it comes with a perfectly poured cappuccino. I ordered a..."
