What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"If you are going for amazing coffee and breakfast OR mimosa flight you will not be disappointed. The short ribs options are to die for. The restaurant is a cute and cozy with a fun vibe, making it a nice spot for a visit, fun date night or girls hangout. See you Sunday for live Jazz music, drinks and CHOCOLATE!"
"Ugh...I want to like this place so badly that I've tried it three times now and had strange service experiences each time. The inviting atmosphere is kind of misleading...I went last night and we walked in at around 7:20 and I was looking forward to trying their truffle fries or popcorn with a glass of wine. Unfortunately "the kitchen was closed" because it had been "slow with the farmers market." I hoped that they would be up and running well at this point as the other two visits because they were kind of new... maybe they worked out some kinks and did a rebrand... a precious visit when it was "the chocolate bar" they had no hot chocolate or barista to make it (I was told). The first visit was just super strange altogether with servers who seemed to have never served before and couldn't bring basic items like tableware and they brought out the hotsauce but left it on the bar for 20 min. We could see it, tried to get their attention, there weren't many people there and when they finally brought it we were done with our food. I will say again the atmosphere is quite nice and the wine was decent (a bit higher price point -17 dollars). If you serve alcohol as a establishment but need to close your kitchen pretty early, it could be easy to just have pre-made charcuterie plates or bites that don't require the kitchen available. I do hope to try this place again at some point, maybe the fourth time will be a charm..."
"My friend and I came in to work for a couple of hours and we loved it. It was so festive too and decorated for the holidays! It was a little cold in there but besides that the coffee was amazing and it was a perfect spot to work"
"Had lunch here with a friend over the weekend! I’m so happy a completely gluten free place opened so close to my house! I got the tomato mozzarella sandwich kind of like a panini! It was so good! My friend got the toast with goat cheese and some kind of jam and she liked it as well! They had live Music which was great. The only thing is they had run out of the GF croissants which was my main reason for going but I understand it was a sunday at around 12-1 so after the brunch rush, they were making more but we didn’t have time to wait! They just opened a week or two ago as well. I will be back to try the croissants they have chocolate ones too. I have NEVER had a gluten free croissant so I am excited to try! Their iced teas were yummy too! Added pic of my roasted tomato mozzarella sandwich yum!"
"C Bar delivered an amazing experience for our Carlsbad Dance Centre fundraiser from start to finish. Their staff was organized, upbeat, and genuinely invested in making the night a success. Pre-event coordination was simple and transparent; the team helped us fine-tune the layout and timing, and the service during the event was flawless—friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. The food was a standout: fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a crowd. Our guests raved about the overall vibe and how smoothly everything ran. Most importantly, C Bar’s support of our fundraiser felt heartfelt and generous. We’re grateful for their partnership and would recommend them to anyone hosting a group event or just looking for a great meal in Carlsbad."
"I was really happy to be introduced to this wine bar at a Yelp event and decided to come back a few days later to enjoy it again. This is the reinvented Oak..."
