from Google & Yelp"This place is one of the best ways to start your day in Carmel. It opens at 7 am, and we ended up going almost every morning during our stay. The coffee is excellent, and the bakery options are even better. The almond croissant was truly out of this world! you could actually see vanilla beans in the almond butter inside, and it tasted incredibly fresh. The coffee was consistently great as well. The vibe and décor were beautiful and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend."
"Best coffee in Carmel! I tried several locations while vacationing in the area and this was my favorite! I like a really good cup of coffee, smooth and not acidic, great with just a splash of half and half. The coffee was excellent, the service was friendly and apologetic for the wait because I arrived during the coffee rush. The scone had a very good flavor but was a little dry. All pasties looked delicious, I will definitely be back to sample them. The environment is warm and inviting, with plenty of cozy spaces to enjoy your coffee."
"I highly recommend spending part of your day here! I've done this tour twice now and the guide Noah was there both times. He helped us understand how to use the bikes and strap in the dogs safely as well as help us go along the route safely. Noah is basically a local to the area and knew tons of cool information and showed us his favorite spots for scenery. You need to know your rider's height and dog's weight when you book. I also had to call ahead because I am 4'10". I used one of the Aventura bikes, which barely let me touch the street when we had to rest. Just be comfortable using BOTH brake handles to stop and then plant your feet on the ground. I used Eco mode since Sport was too fast on the throttle for me, but literally my friends got on my case for not pedalling a single moment for most of the ride. 🤣 Hey! If the bike will do almost all the work for me, why the heck would I break a sweat? I only pedaled to get started and very gently tapped the throttle. I will say that my dog was not a fan of the sidecar. It's very important to have a harness that can be clipped on the front and back. If you don't have one, let them know, and they should have one you can borrow. Momo jumped out twice and was hanging herself, but it's my fault since I loosened the harness too much. It has too much slack. Noah fixed it for me and showed me what I did wrong. My second tour, I used Little Chonk Maxine One dog backpack and did not use a sidecar. Momo friggin enjoyed the heck out of it. I enjoyed the heck out of my dog enjoying the day. Bring a narrow water bottle for you and the dog, poop bags just in case, and your leash. There is a beach that can be off leash that we stop at for 10 minutes and a second one, if there is time where we can be on leash. Depending on the group comfort of using the bikes, Noah took us through a few different paths each tour. Both were enjoyable. So I got to see a few new things the second time! If you want to rent the bike for the whole day and are military, a teacher, or first responder (officer, nurse, medical worker, etc), they offer 20% discounts off their full day rental. My friend injured her hand a little being unsteady the first 20 feet out, but it was minor and we got Neosporin and a bandaid afterward. If I were to rate this, it's 10/10 with extra brownie points for watching how excited the dogs were. The golden retriever in my group was pupset everytime we stopped, because he wanted to go fast and ride. Please also have cash as a tip for the guide. Not necessary, but it is a lovely gesture."
"Super cute and authentic coffee shop located in Carmel-by-the-Sea! We came on a Saturday morning and the line was almost out the door, but once we ordered, our drinks were ready almost instantly. The pastries also looked so good and I actually regret not getting one. The cashier was super nice and welcoming. Also love that this place is dog friendly and also gave our dog a pup cup! Street parking is available and it’s super easy to park and walk to the coffee shop."
"Mad Dogs & Englishmen, such a dope spot! 🐾☕️ This place is such a vibe. Part coffee bar, part bike shop, and they even have sidecars for your furry friend. (Now if only they made one for cats... or if my cats actually liked that idea 😅). The space is clean, bright, and full of fun energy. Vibrant, cool merch (shirts, stickers, etc.), and a great mix of locals and travelers. The line was a bit long, but we still grabbed a table and enjoyed our snacks. I got a warm cheese + ham croissant and a GF brownie bite. Both of our drinks were the seasonal specials — I had the Pumpkin Spice Latte and my wife had the Velvet Noir, both so good! Staff were quick, friendly, and on it. You bus your own dishes in the back (which we appreciate. Industry habit 👀). Overall, such a fun, welcoming spot to grab a coffee and hang. Definitely coming back next trip to Carmel. Now... can someone please open a cat café? 😬🐱"
