from Google & Yelp"Atmosphere is a lil off putting when u walk in but the service was solid the country fried steak was hand breaded and the country gravy was full of flavor the waffle was a little to fluffy for my preference I prefer a crunchy waffle but overall a good experience food wise and service . "A Cozy Breakfast Gem in Citrus Heights If you’re looking for a charming breakfast spot with a warm, rustic feel, The Lodge Coffee Shop on 8191 Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights, CA is a must-visit! This small A-frame restaurant brings the cozy, cabin-like atmosphere of South Lake Tahoe right into town, making it the perfect spot to start your morning. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly and incredible service. The staff made us feel right at home, which only added to the inviting ambiance. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely fantastic. I had a classic breakfast of eggs, ham, and a short stack of pancakes, and everything was cooked to perfection. My wife went with the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, which was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a comforting breakfast. And let’s not forget the coffee—rich, smooth, and just right. We enjoyed ourselves very much and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot. The Lodge Coffee Shop delivers on quality food, great service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – We’ll definitely be back!"
"Interesting A frame structure, very friendly staff and definitely a locals spot. The Lodge omelet is on point and the bacon is great. The stacked pancakes are also solid."
"Let's start with the fact that the waitresses were some of the friendliest I've had in months. Very personable and charming. The restaurant looks cozy and clean. There are 4 tables, 6 booths, a table booth combo, and like 9 counter seats so it is very cozy by modern standards, which is nice. Unfortunately, the food I ordered tasted either canned or frozen. The chicken fried steak was about as good as Denny's but the gravy tasted like it came from a generic white can with "County Gravy" written on it in black writing. The potatoes were just fine. The over easy eggs were mixed with one medium and one hard. In the end the friendly staff couldn't make up for boring poorly prepared food."
"In a nutshell DNV(Do Not Visit) Ambiance: This place is just weird, very strange. Staff acts as if this place is the best in the world, it is not. Interior: Again, strange and uncomfortable. It was clean as far as most areas, but you never know. Food: Omelette, not filling, sparse, bacon was absolutely strange. They claim they have the best hash browns, but in my eyes they taste like rancid oil and mushy, not good at all. Other items I did see on family's plate, looked off as well. This place seems like a "Let's start a restaurant" but have never ran one as the methods of cooking breakfast food and more was not standard in any way. Prices: Super cost absorbatant. Way too expensive. Overall: There was a lot of high reviews, but DO NOT let this fool you, the food is very bad. Beware. I am a reasonable guy, I know good food and have nothing against the staff or owners, however this place is just NOT good. DNV this establishment."
"I love this hole in the breakfast spot. The name is deceiving. It is so much more than a coffee shop, it is a full blown diner. It's so unique you feel like..."
