"4.5 stars. Elixir Wizard Academy is hands down one of the most unique boba spots in Costa Mesa. Tucked away on the second floor (look for the stairs—it took me a minute to find!), the place instantly gives off major Harry Potter vibes the moment you walk in. It's like stepping into a magical world, and honestly, the whole experience is part of what you’re paying for. I ordered The Prophecy, and it was absolutely delicious—sweet, refreshing, and just the right amount of magic. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. There’s a parking lot, but it can fill up fast, so plan accordingly. Overall, if you’re into themed spots, love boba, and want a fun twist on your usual drink run, this place is worth a visit."

"How can I describe this place, Harry Potter meets Gothic Girl at her place with plenty of cool stuff to look at. Yeah I’ll go with that. So this to me is like a leveled up Boba shop with cool and tasty drinks. The atmosphere sure is magical and if you don’t mind spending a little cash definitely get the specialty drinks. You can take thier test to become an official wizard to win a prize and for the experience of course. Totally worth it to say you did it. It does have a secret room but you will have to find out for yourself. Our server was ok and at times disappeared but we were there for the vibe so I’m letting that slide. It’s located on the second floor above a smoke shop so just letting you know. Would I go back again? Sure, the place is really cool plus I want to try out more of the drinks. So definitely check it out if you’re in the area."

"Elixir creates an enchanting atmosphere and experience for their customers. We had the Cincerity drink and it was sweet and tangy, super refreshing! We also ordered a water and it was blue-my 3 year old was all about it. We ordered the princess buttercup ice cream and it was rich in flavor and was served in a martini glass with 4 small scoops of ice cream. It was plenty for me my husband and e year old to share. We will definitely be back. The decor was awesome! You'll just have to check it out for yourself to see what I mean."

"You come for the esthetic and to hang out with friends. The moment you walk in you're immediately blasted with all kinds of fantastical items and references to pop culture. It's a true nerd's fantasy. That's all I can really say though. I'm only making this to talk about one thing. The management needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. Our waitress had a near mental breakdown due to being the only one actually doing anything, while the rest of her coworkers were just sitting at a table doing nothing. And despite this, they had the gall to bully and demean her behind her back. I can't think of a more disrespectful group of hateful, childish, good-for-nothing losers. This will not be a place I will be returning to unless this gets resolved."

"This is a really fun place! The drinks are so pretty, taste amazing, and are very unique with fun effects. The soup was good (wish there were more food options) and the ice cream was also amazing! The atmosphere is such fun too! Service was great and staff was in character which adds to the enjoyment. I will definitely be back. I just wish the membership fee for the secret menu and events was less otherwise I would do that too."
