"Porto’s never disappoints. I ordered Cheese Rolls, a Refugiado, Potato Balls, and the Tuna Melt—and everything was delicious. But the Potato Balls were on a whole different level: perfectly crispy on the outside with that warm, seasoned filling that makes them unforgettable. I came in the day before Thanksgiving to pick up an order, and even though the place was extremely busy, the customer service was still impressive. They initially got my order wrong, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally, doing their best to make it right. Overall, great food, great service, and an always-reliable experience—especially those Potato Balls. Highly recommended."

"Just had to review this location at Downey because I was really impressed with the customer service from each staff we encountered! From the greeting at the door to the last person going above and beyond. There were 2 lines but didn’t wait much at all after arriving just after 10 am. I haven’t been at Portos in a few years, but the food and pastries are always a classic especially the cheese rolls. Was a little sad to learn they stopped making them mini size. Tried the pumpkin sweet cream matcha and ube matcha latte for the first time. Both are delicious but quite heavy."
