from Google"Great Restaurant in a very unassuming strip mall. Food was great. We had the lobster noodles were very good. Especially for a Chinese cafe style restaurant which normally don’t make this dish. We also had the pig knuckle and the meat was quite tender. Had the eggplant with spare ribs and that was delicious as well. And the French style filet mignon was also quite good. Oh and the fried on choy vegetables was great as well. Service isn’t the best. They are sometimes busy so you have to try and flag someone down to get service. But the service is good when you do get their attention. Plenty of parking in front of restaurant. Been here a few times already and will be coming back."
"First time here for lunch. - Place: great place and spacious, comfortable seats, lovely chandelier - Food: very good quality and proper portion! Authentic Hong Kong recipe (as we are from Hong Kong)! Unexpectedly tasty! We ordered baked pork chop rice in tomato sauce, and stir fried beef flat noodle! Both are delicious - Service: it is the main part of losing 2 stars overall as obviously it was under manpower! Only the front desk lady took order for the whole restaurant! No one ever came to your table to ask for us! We had to walk to the front desk to ask her to take order! If you need anything, no one would serve you or they pretended didn’t see us - Price: very good price that is the remedy of their poor service. Pork chop rice was $11.90 and stir fried beef flat noodle was $12.90. We are from Orange Country there’s no way that we could have this price level at all Overall, we think we would go again with the expectation that they would have better manpower to serve customers. P/S They have bolo bun complimentary only if we eat up to $30!! Last but not least, the perfume that the front lady was wearing was suffocating!!! I could smell her a table away, that’s super non professional!!!"
"TD Cafe is a fantastic addition to El Monte, conveniently located next to Bank of America. This Hong Kong-style cafe offers a delightful variety of BBQ pork, duck, and other classic dishes, all at an unbeatable value. What sets TD Cafe apart is its innovative approach to set menus for both lunch and dinner. Starting at just $11.99, each set includes a soup and a drink—an incredible deal considering the quality and portions. On occasion, they also treat diners to complimentary pineapple buns, which are a highlight—soft, buttery, and perfectly sweet. The service here is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who are happy to accommodate special requests for unique dishes. "First time at this Hong Kong style restaurant. They advertise all day specials for 11.99 including rice. The food here is okay. For the price point, I think it's a deal. When we were there on a Sunday night, the dining area filled up as ppl also picked up togo orders. The place feels modern with the decor."
