from Google"Very cute and cozy spot. The food was amazing and I ate it all before I thought about taking a picture. The tea was perfect and comes in a cup or pot. The pot was adorable. My husband said the coffee was a little burnt but overall ok. Their version is sausage and biscuits are delicious. It was decorated for the holidays and had a fire place going. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast/brunch if in the area."
"After a day on the River, my husband, sister and I needed sustenance and were dying to try the hotdogs we’d heard about at Baked on the River. We were running up against the clock during the hour in which the restaurant closes between lunch and dinner service, but when we called ahead Helena, the owner, graciously invited us to come regardless and said there would be a place for us. As someone of partial Swedish descent, I was so excited to try these Scandinavian-style hotdogs and was impressed not only by the other traditional Swedish dishes on the menu, but so much more! The hotdogs were everything we dreamed of and needed in that moment and Helena and her staff were so incredibly kind, warm, and generous the entire time we were there. Being that it was a Saturday afternoon at the end of the summer season, we were also privy to a bacchanalian lesbian party happening in front of us across from the restaurant in the pool area of the R3 Hotel. Watching ladies twerk with only some strategically placed electrical tape used as clothing above the waist while we dined in virtual silence (those windows are impressively sound proof!) eating our hot dogs while the long lost Swedish aunt we never knew we had tended to us was surreal and uniquely Guerneville. We loved every moment of it! And we can’t wait to come back again and again to try all Baked on the River has to offer."
"Poor brunch experience, generally, and I do not understand why this restaurant has such a high rating. We walked in and the bathroom reeked of poop, so everything that followed was affected. It was so bad that one of the staff members had to close the door to keep the smell inside the lobby area and away from the rest of the restaurant. My partner had to use the restroom but could not because of the smell. The poop smell is why I am giving 2 stars rather than 3. We were seated immediately by the owner however the server seemed to be the only one staffed and we waited a while for water. The owner should be helping her staff by getting waters at minimum out to tables when they first sit down. Our coffee/tea order took about 30 minutes from the time we were seated, although both drinks with the mushroom complex (in a tea bag) were tasty. The food is very average and overpriced. The brunch menu itself is just odd. There’s an assortment of dishes from spaghetti to smoked salmon toast to a brisket sandwich, although everything seems to have an extra healthy twist on things that reduces the taste. I ordered the smoked salmon toast and the salmon was unexpectedly cooked, the toast was thin and clearly prepackaged despite the place having ‘Baked’ in the name, and the avocado was brown. The service was poor in general, and it’s clear that if the owner helped staff a bit more I think she’d see an improvement in morale. At the end when you pay, they ask for 25, 30 or 35% in tip. Obviously you can customize your tip but that just feels greedy. Overall, I do not recommend."
"Came here for brunch on a Friday and sat outside. There was only one server so it was pretty slow, but she was very friendly and accommodating. Note that they don’t currently have smoked salmon on the menu. We waited a really long time for our avocado toasts, and they were cold, but they did accommodate my dietary restrictions which was nice. The place next door is a pool area so if you’re sitting outside keep that in mind on a hot sunny day (it was busy and noisy). This place is dog friendly!"
"Absolute best restaurant that has it all: cafe, brunch & lunch place & diner til 9 pm. Family & pet friendly too. Lots of healthy and alternative food options and interesting and diverse menu. The location can’t be beat and you might find yourself sitting near an inviting pool scene. Kudos to Helena for finding this fabulous new spot for her always consistent and wonderful restaurant."
