What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I ordered a hummus veggie sandwich which I've had over 20 years ago here. The cashier was nice enough to let me try the hummus before I ordered. However, when I got it, it was smaller and quite paltry from what I remembered. For $8.50, coming from when it used to be half the price, it was a bit disappointing. The menu says there is supposed to be sprouts and avocado but there was none. The hummus was spread quite thinly - I remember it being spread with like 3x more. I've heard this place changed ownership and I was glad I took caution and didn't order more of my other favourites. Despite the lackluster order I received, it was still pretty good. The hummus was different but good. The cashier was really accomodating. It still hit some nostalgia points but I could make the hummus wrap myself just stopping over at Trader Joe's next door. It really didn't seem worth $8.50."
"I got the chicken broccoli mushrooms sandwich! The sandwich is pretty good, but not spectacular. Definitely something I would recommend if you’re looking for something to fill you up and on the go. Service was great, but they do not take American Express."
"We ordered the NY Liason and the Chicken Garlic. We used to love Le Diplomate Cafe but we aren’t sure if it’s under new management now. Either way, avoid ordering from here. Subway seems like a 5 star restaurant in comparison to this place. The chicken in the garlic chicken sandwich must have been days old bc it was so dry to the point of being inedible. For the pastrami sandwich, the 2 slices of pastrami (seriously, only 2 small pieces of pastrami were thrown in the sandwich - as shown in the pictures) had that rainbow borderline rotten color to it - that I didn’t want to touch it. Also, the lettuce was wilted and just nothing, unfortunately was fresh. The mayonnaise was just randomly thrown in there as well and we don’t want to find out if these sandwiches taste as bad as they look…but we are hungry so we do taste it and realize that no, it tastes even worse…. We spent about $40 for delivery of two sandwiches that sadly can’t be eaten…"
"This is a pretty solid sandwich shop with a lot of different options including vegetarian ones. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. The service is fast. What else can you expect from a sandwich shop? It’s located in a nice area and there’s plenty of seating outside."
"Simple tasty sandwich and nice outdoor seating. The 9" is about $10. Italian soda was $3.50. My only complaint is that their "Vietnamese coffee" is just a regular coffee and not that strong. Good bread."
"I love this place to the point that I graduated 15 years ago and still make the drive consistently. But please go back to the old bread"
