What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"This is the best boba tea locale in the southern CA region. I have never obtain a boba tea this good. My friend and I ordered a boba tea and a cake. The cake tastes homemade. Why purchase cakes from another bakery. The milk tea tastes great. The service is fast and effective. I have ordered the same drink from Doordash and grubhub. The restaurant does not discriminate between ordering platforms, and does not render a smaller size for third party platforms. You may order the same drink at a lower price at a third party platform. Why does Orobae price drinks differently? We may not know. My original boba milk tea feels cheaper at Doordash compared to ordering and consuming at the premises. The cake has a million textures and tstes. The cake feels like something out of Africa. I would recommend this place to my friends and family members. A++ service. The boba tea feels too sweet. I wish the restaurant offers a sugar free option or sugar substitute for the tea. The straws are single-use and are not very friendly to the environment. The cup is not recyclable. They do not offer sufficient seating for patrons who like to drink and consume on the premises. The Asian American customers do not recognize personal space. They cut in line and talk loudly amongst themselves in line. People take pictures whenever they want without recognizing privacy. I yelled at a person to stop posting me in his selfies. Why are people feeling excited for a selfie at a boba tea restaurant? I don't know."
"If you like very earthy and floral tasting tea this is a perfect place for you. It's always busy so expect to be in a queue to order. The queue takes about 5-8 minutes and the drinks come out in like 5-10 minutes. The only downside to orobae is they don't have their store open to the public to enter. You order your tea outside and receive it there too. They are really popular, so sometimes they run out of specific teas. So if you're really interested in trying something in particular, be sure to get there close to the opening to ensure you get what you want."
"Located right next to Chan Chan, Orobae is a probably one of the best boba tea places I've experienced. You cannot enter the store and the line to order is usually long, no matter what day you go, but especially during the weekend. It's extremely popular with several choices, which include the ability to control the sweetness level. This is a plus in my book, as milk teas can often be overwhelmingly sweet. I've also found that it's difficult to modify sweetness in Thai tea, as it's usually premixed. Orobae breaks the cycle and their Thai tea is superb. Is it worth the wait, I'd say so."
"First time trying this place and ordered the most popular Rising Phoenix milk tea. It was not bad but not exactly the best milk tea I've ever had. The line was ridiculously long. I probably won't do it again."
"I love how attentive the server is, they make sure you're happy with the order. Also amazingly well versed with the menu. Took his time with each customer to make sure they got what they wanted. The boba is super soft. Quality tea. Rising Pheonix milk tea ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - half ice, level 3 sweet, tapioca - I think I might have messed up by getting it with boba, I would get it without it next time, as it overpowered the taste - it's good though! Not bad! Tropical sunrise green tea ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - really good but wouldn't get it with boba"
"Like Orobae which was here before, the tea felt pretty lackluster and the interior decoration is pretty mid. Having employees asking you so aggressively to..."
