"The pastries were pretty good, not overly sweet. The Le Royal had a nice strong chocolate flavor, the hazelnut cream on top paired really well with the chocolate mousse plus the crunchy layer which made the whole cake slice very enjoyable. Blueberry danish was also good even though I wish the bread was a little less dense. Mushroom danish was quite savory. I’ll definitely come back to try more stuff next time I’m in the area."

A minor note: the cream filling was a bit heavy in the standard croissant, and the rose/matcha croissant could benefit from a touch more sweetness and less cream. "There was a big line for this bakery at the LaJolla Wine and Arts festival. They had set up in front of their shop. Everything looked so delicious, and beautiful too. And they were so delicious! I especially like the salted caramel tart."
