What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Location is key. Aside from that, the coffee is fairly basic, with a bitter, chemical aftertaste, and the Asian ice cream shop features their typical baked fish atop purple ice cream. The downtown location is excellent, with easy access from the strip and nearby restaurants. I can't comment much on the service, as it was just a standard counter order with little interaction. Overall, it's a one-time visit kind of place."
"Great location. Cute atmosphere. Really liked the books. Terrible customer service. We ordered a carrot cake, banana bread, vanilla latte, and a mocha frappe. They brought the order very quickly which was nice. The pastries were pretty good. The vanilla latte was decent (kind of bitter). The mocha frappe, on the other hand, was watery, burnt, and it had an awful aftertaste! I could hardly take a sip. It also didn't have whipped cream as was advertised. We told the barista about the drink and asked if we could change the order or if she could remake the drink but she refused to do either. We ended up leaving with that same disgusting drink in our hands. Buyer beware."
"The drinks have been hit and miss, the food is hit and miss. Some of it seems great, and some of it seems super basic. Overall, it's nice to support local, but we've been here a few times over the years and it's okay in our opinion. If you need something, and you want to support local over a big chain, then we definitely recommend coming here over a Starbucks, but there's nothing to write home about. And to be honest, we haven't tried every single thing being that we haven't been very many times, but in our experience with what we have tried things are standard. Definitely not a bad place, but we wouldn't drive across the bay to come here."
"The hours are frustrating. Somedays they close at 4, but other days at 5. So if you aren’t a regular, you can drive 20 minutes just to go there for an iced coffee with boba, and pay the meter at a forced $2/hour, only to arrive 3 minutes after 4 on a 4:00 day and be turned away. That was a bummer. Won’t make that mistake again. Not worth the drive and paid parking. 🙄"
"I know prices are crazy everywhere now, but $7.95 for a tiny wedge of quiche is just impossible to not leave a review about. I went back to the counter to verify the size and price, and they confirmed it wasn't a mistake. The coffee is fine."
"Fantastic service, extensive drink selection and delicious Mexican mocha. Wished food selection went beyond bagels and readymade breakfast burritos. Will..."
