"Kitchen in the Canyon is a true local gem! Located right by the art and design college’s south campus, it has such a welcoming, creative vibe. One of the best perks is the free parking right in front, which is a rare and welcome find in Laguna Beach! ​Our group tried a bit of everything: the steel-cut oatmeal, pancakes, the breakfast sandwich, and the 'Eggs Please' plate. Every single dish was a hit—everyone left very happy. The latte was also delicious and perfectly made. Beyond the food, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, checking on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. This is definitely a place you’ll want to visit again and again. Highly recommended!"

"This is a breakfast and lunch eatery hidden on the way to downtown Laguna Beach, truly in the canyon. We had the cappuccino with rose syrup, so creative. The steak burrito was crafted with loads of tender steak and eggs. Monte Cristo was a delightful combination of French toast, ham, turkey and cheese served with side of cranberry relish and fries, ever so delicious. A basic comfy restaurant akin to a wonderful diner atmosphere."

"What a fantastic hidden gem! Don't settle for typical cafe food. We went for breakfast, and the menu has some very good unique choices. The service was great and the food was absolutely 💯 % delicious. I cannot wait to return as I saw some really delicious breakfast dishes being carried past us."

"We have been in Laguna 4 nights and this is the best breakfast. I had the yogurt bowl with lemon curd. So good and my wife had the avacado toast with a perfect poached egg. This is her third time ordering avacado toast in Laguna and the best so far. The honey cinnamon lattes were delicious."

"Cozy, calm, coastal ambiance nestled in the canyon. Counter order with friendly and efficient service. Lots of yummy breakfast, salad, and sandwich options on the menu. Also lots of coffee and other drinks that I would love to try on a return visit. This would get 4.5 stars for the food if that was an option - we ordered the chicken pesto panini and clubhouse sandwich. Both were good, but nothing overly special. I will say the fries are amazing, though!"
