"So glad this spot reopened! I stopped in on their opening weekend and came back again soon after. Great coffee/service both times. I moved to LB from Portland Oregon, so I should admit that my craft coffee-snob level is 100+. That said, Pearl St latte now ties for my favorite in town, which is saying a lot given the new shops that have popped up across Laguna Beach recently. I’ve met a colleague here for a quick work meeting and also came solo- Both times felt comfortable like I wasn't wasting precious space (remote workers and singles, IYKYK). No big lines or crowds to battle which I loved (maybe it's because the secret isn't out yet? Or because the food menu here isn’t as elaborate/time consuming as some other spots nearby, which always adds to your coffee wait times?) You can't go wrong with great coffee + direct beach access- from here I walked across the street at low tide, you can walk all the way up through Cress St, it's a pretty long stretch of public beach space. Pearl St coffee is located in what's called Laguna's HIP District, so I'd recommend grabbing coffee/light bite here before browsing all the cute shops up through South Laguna. Local tip: bring quarters and check out their fully restored 1980s jukebox. Gen Xers and millennials will definitely appreciate the throwback tunes. Overall a totally rad "where the LB locals go" gem!!"

"The owners Garry Sr. & Jr. are good people. Laguna locals, super invested. It’s really good to have them in the community and they’re always around the shop to say hello. My favorite part about Pearl Street though is the totally unique syrups that they have. You can get an apple chai latte and they also have rose, lavender and pistachio syrups! AND pistachio milk! Better than corporate coffee options. strawberry matcha super delicious! 🥐 go in if you really want to get a good feel/vibe of Laguna."

"I wanted to like this place. It’s close to my house. I ordered avocado toast and it was maybe the worst I’ve ever had. They put butter on it, and it was barely any avocado and way too much seasoning. The guy working had to ask the other worker if the avocado was ok. My coffee was fine. I’m rooting for this business to win. They just need to step it up a bit. Touching the tops of the cups as they hand it to me."
