"Great new coffee shop in Harvard Heights. Bright and modern space, with lots of tables if you want to post up and get some work done. I ordered an iced chagachino oatmilk late, skipped the pastries but there were lots of options. Noticed they have a nice tea selection including matcha. Noticed they host events which indicates they are very much intending to be a communal space for the area. Will return for sure!"

"So the place that use to be here before had some of the best coffee I've had in LA. I'm sad to see that it's gone but the place looks nicer and much more friendly environment for sitting and hanging out. The service is slow and somewhat more rude, which is a shock since the last place didn't have the best customer service either. I just came her for their crazy good coffee. Blackline seems okay, average at best to me. Not sure how they have 5 stars. What I do like is that their Mocha was not bad, not as good as the previous owners but still good. I give this a 3 star because of customer service is blah and they didn't have much of a selection of roasted coffee to buy in bags. Would I come back, sure if I wanted a chill place to hang, but I think I'll look around for a tastier roaster."

"I loved the spot as it's spacious, having its own dedicated parking (surely a win in Ktown!), and tons of natural lights coming in. Prolly only one downside if you're trying to find a place to work on gadgets as it didn't really provide power plugs in all seating. Putting that aside, it's just a perfect spot and even brought to the next level with super friendly baristas that treated me like a regular despite it's actually my first. Asking for her recommendation on pastries as I was torn between the Almond Croissant and the Cheese Danish, she recommended the first and offered to warm it up. Making the right decision to trust her, the pastry despite prolly not being the most gorgeous almond croissant I had, turned out YUM with buttery base and pleasant stuffing. Going for my usual sweetened milk-based espresso drink, I tried their Honey Vanilla Latte from their Specialty Drink list and it didn't disappoint as well. Despite it sounded like very sweet drink, it actually came just as the right level and I was pleased that they could serve it extra hot just like how I preferred. Good coffee, Good place, Good people; made an awesome trio there."

"I walked into Blackline today excited to finally try this place, but instead I walked out furious and disappointed. There were only three people ahead of me in line. The cashier took their orders, and when it was finally my turn, he told me “give me a moment.” That “moment” turned into me standing there for 2–3 minutes with ZERO acknowledgement. Instead of doing his job and taking my order, he decided to start wiping down counters like that was more important than the actual paying customer in front of him. I asked again if I could place my order and he dismissed me a second time with, “give me a moment.” Then another 3–5 minutes passed while he continued cleaning and even started making new drinks for others. So altogether, I wasted nearly 8 minutes just standing there being completely ignored. Not even a “sorry for the wait” or “I’ll be right with you.” Nothing. Just blatant disregard for my time and my business. That’s unacceptable. If you don’t value your customers enough to acknowledge them, you don’t deserve their business. I finally walked out and went to Starbucks—at least there I know I’ll be treated like an actual customer instead of an inconvenience. Blackline, get your act together. You lost me before I even had the chance to try your coffee."
