"Boondocks Coffee Roasters is a real treat for coffee enthusiasts, as not only do they serve coffee beverages with influence and ingredients from the Philippines, but also utilize more unique brewing methods such as a Kyoto-style cold brewing technique. The drinks are delicious and you can tell the care for quality that goes into their preparation. The baristas themselves are also very welcoming and helpful. Tiffany knew me by name by my third visit. 😺"

"The kind of coffee shop that’s indeed designed for work or just stopped by for quick coffee pickup. Not a surprise knowing it’s within UCLA area and some smaller offices nearby. You could clearly tell everyone’s sitting either doing their own thing or doing work in group. From their menu, I guessed they had some sort of Filipino touch, bringing ube and pandan particularly. The barista was super welcoming even when he spotted me doing ‘my grams’ as he’s putting the pinch of salt on my drink, he offered to slow down so I could capture the moment lol. It’s fun to watch him grinding the salt from a rock-alike giant piece, which apparently was sourced from Bohol - a province in Philippines. I got their #1 Signature Salted Latik, their version of Caramel Latte, whose flavor came from caramelized coconut syrup with saltiness hint from the salt I called out earlier. The coffee itself was pretty good and they offered quite many options of alternative milk. When he served the drink, he did ask me to take a sip and told him if the sweetness suited my preference, otherwise he could add more of the syrup."

"One of my favorite coffee shops here, and I might even have to say maybe the best coffee I’ve ever had?? I had the ube matcha latte and boonies einspanner (double espresso w/ milk and vanilla cream top), and while both were good, the einspanner was INCREDIBLE. It was rich, nice and creamy, and soooo delicious, with the perfect balance of coffee flavor and sweetness (as someone who prefers a sweeter drink.) Service was super kind and helpful, offering to make any adjustments to the drink as well. It’s also a nice study space, with a table and some couches, WiFi, and a couple of outlets."

"My favorite coffee shop in Westwood and some of the best matcha I’ve had in LA! I like to get the matchang matcha, which features flavors you can’t find at many other places, like ube and pandan. The baristas are always kind and welcoming and the atmosphere is great for doing work, with chill music and usually some incense burning. Cannot recommend this place enough."
