What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"We were guest of the W and decided to enjoy a light breakfast at Cafe Goldie. We ordered sparking wine, cortados and bowl of berries to rehydrate and caffeinate for the day. The service was impeccable, waiter was very attentive and enjoyed interacting with the patrons. We were able to use our destination fee along with our AMEX perks to enjoy this meal. The menu had many different options and flavors for the breakfast palate. I would recommend this cafe and would like to try more of the menu. The cafe was also well decorated and was picturesque for a nice quiet morning."
"The vibe and atmosphere of the cafe is stylish, cool, and well designed. Furniture is not exactly for comfort but appearance, which is ok for shorter visits. Drinks were very good. We liked the matcha, smoothie, and latte. Service was better here in comparison to the living room/ there there. Certain food selection were better than others. You could compare some dishes (breakfast) to what you might find at Dennys. The quality of the items fell short of expectations for the location and atmosphere it is in. There is an automatic 18% gratuity charge all any transactions here regardless of party size."
"Cafe Goldie offers a stylish and pleasant atmosphere —definitely a highlight if you're seeking a coffee & bakes. However, the food itself doesn’t quite live up to the surroundings. While the menu reads well and offers a decent range of brunch and breakfast classics, the actual dishes feel uninspired and underwhelming. Flavors tend to be pale, lacking the richness. For the premium prices charged (with many main items landing above $25), the portions are modest, and presentation can’t fully make up for the lack of standout taste. Note: They automatically charge 18% gratuity."
"Cafe Goldie is tucked away inside the W Hollywood where you walk through this impeccably brilliant "Living Room" lobby in its full glabor, to enter this door of gold reminiscent of the Emerald City in Wicked, and discover a whole new alcove where coffee and breakfast is served. The interior and atmosphere is amazing. If you're trying to impress your date for breakfast, look no further. This is it. Unfortunately, you won't be impressing anyone and yourself with the food. What a waste of the atmosphere. The coffee is too thick, dull and served in a cup that doesn't fit the overall atmosphere. The French toast sticks are soft but just bland. It's almost like they brought it out before they even decorated it with powdered sugar. The berry compote wasn't great, nor was the syrup. This could've been one heck of a French toast. Instead they botched it with lack of attention to detail. Given the price point, which is slightly cheaper than the utmost expensive breakfast joints, I was expecting more. Heck, I loved the atmosphere so much I wanted it to be better. I was rooting for it. Unfortunately, Cafe Goldie falls short of the promise and expectations. I really hope Goldie can quickly turn this around. It is not difficult to cook amazing breakfast. You have everything. Just put some effort into it."
"The food was good and the service was good but there are many problems. Half of the chairs have a low back making it uncomfortable to lean back. Have the tables have a loose tabletop requiring basic maintenance to stop from rocking. The food is expensive. They charge a mandatory 20% service fee instead of letting customers decide what amount to tip. The server could not explain why the tax was 11.5% versus 9.75% at every other restaurant in Hollywood."
"Café Goldie is like brunch on a fashion runway. The avocado toast is chic, the lattes are decorated like they are auditioning for social media, and the..."
