What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I don't write many reviews, but had to on this one. Cute little coffee shop, but there was a lot left to be desired. As a writer I often frequent coffee shops to get myself out of the house and around others. It helps with mood, creativity and productivity. This was my first time to Tomo, and was left unimpressed. For starters the seating (albeit ample) were wooden and not very conducive for sitting for extended periods of time. The music was a nice coffee shop jazz mix, which was pleasant, but the service and amenities were meh. For starters, there was no self service area for anything (sugar packets, napkins, stirrers, etc., this including water. So, whenever I wanted water, which was held captive behind the counter, and served in dental office sized cups, I had to ask for it, the particular barista from whom I asked, despite my having already purchased a matcha latte and cinnamon sugar pretzel, seemed irritated, at best. This, for me, did not feel very hospitable in the least, and for these reasons I will doubtfully return."
"In A Nutshell: -Coffee Tomo located in Little Osaka is a gem -I enjoyed one of the best Americano coffees I've ever had, no watered down taste, quality beans! -My partner's Red Bean Latte smelled & tasted exactly as advertised...Red Bean! -The Avocado Toast we shared was amazing, nice buttery avocado sliced up on a bed of arugula & toasted bread. -They are famous for the pretzels, so I tried their plain one. -It came out nice, hot & delicious. -Definitely gonna try their Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel next time. Overall, I really like this coffee shop, will be back again for sure."
"Best best sweet potato cheese pretzel. Crunchy outside, chewy inside, a little bit of sweetness from the sweet potato puree, and the stringy cheese adds special texture and extra fun. I guess they bake the pretzels fresh so it would take a couple of minutes to wait but the pretzel definitely worth it"
"One of the best shots of espresso I've had in LA. Pretzel is very affordable and delicious. The staff are nice and have great hospitality. I especially love a Tomo Latte. Loved it here"
"Went out of my way to try a local shop instead of a chain, unfortunately I was disappointed. Over paid for parking, coffee, the avocado toast and poor service. (Plus the forced tip). So not only does the owners not pay well but they expect you to help fund their payroll of a disgruntled worker. I guess it was my privilege to visit your place, I will not take that risk in LA again. Starbucks thanks you and their employees pretends they like you there."
"I came back to Coffee Tomo after 8 years and it is still just as amazing as I remember. The coffee is smooth, rich, and full of flavor. You can tell they..."
