What People Are Saying
from Google"Fat + Flour in Culver City is a refreshingly spacious bakery, bigger than most, but still cozy enough to smell every glorious waft of butter and sugar. I stopped by around 3 p.m. on a Saturday and, despite a steady flow of pie-seekers, barely waited. The Strawberry Rhubarb pie is a standout: bright, balanced, and wrapped in a satisfyingly thick crust that feels like a buttery hug. The Peanut Butter cookie hits that chewy, sugary sweet spot, while the Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip cookie earns an enthusiastic “yum!”—crisp edges, gooey center, and just enough bourbon attitude. My favorite cookie there. There’s metered parking out front, a bathroom (bless them), and even a small little shopping section with a selection of cups and books. With Key Lime and Banana Cream still on my to-try list, Fat + Flour easily sits at the top of my pie rotation."
"Wet cute coffee shop. Loved the cortado, father in law loved the latte. They have this oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that was great fresh. Very solid key lime pie too."
"Cute spot! Came after lunch for a quick dessert. Everything is freshly made! They were baking the basque cheesecake! It smelled amazing. We tried the key lime and banana cream pie, both were very good! Got some cookies to take away- they were sooooo good, texture and flavor! Peanut butter was wow! The chocolate chip oat looked so good- didn’t try the matcha white chocolate but will soon! Def drop by for some pie or cookies! Will have to try their sandwiches next time!"
"Some of the best pies I’ve ever had in my entire life. I never had key lime pie, went here, had their key lime pie and proceeded to order it everywhere for the next two months and nothing comes close. They’re doing some crazy good things here. Highly recommend."
"The kind of place that lingers in your memory like a song you hum days later. Nestled like a secret spell in the heart of the city, Fat + Flour is more than a bakery — it’s a portal. A quiet, glowing sanctuary where sugar meets soul, where light spills across smooth counters and time slows into something tender. The Basque Pistachio Cheesecake? A revelation. To call it the best cheesecake I’ve ever had feels insufficient — it’s a moment, not a dessert. Earthy pistachio notes swirl through its rich, creamy interior, softened and deepened by a brulée-like edge and crowned with wild scatterings of chocolate chips. And then there’s the Key Lime Pie — a clean slice of sunlight. Whipped cream peaks ripple like waves across a silk sea, the tang of lime sharp but balanced, resting atop a crust that tastes of golden afternoons. Not too sweet, never too dense — it dances on the tongue, crisp and alive. The space itself is pure indie poetry — sun-washed, warm, with flowers that look handpicked from a daydream and energy that says: stay awhile. You feel it immediately — that this is a place that cares. That gets it. Fat + Flour is a love letter to dessert, written by someone who knows what sweetness can mean — and dares to make it sacred."
