What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Cute place with good coffee. It’s nice overall, but I wish they had better seating. It also feels a bit sparse, especially behind the counter. Some additional plants or artwork would really warm it up. Still, it’s a nice neighborhood café."
"This coffee shop carries that name for a reason and I'm totally impressed by the peculiar concept they're trying to offer. Decorated the venue with bunch of old Apple monitors, probably some of the earliest generations, which look like still able to be used. Plenty of seats available, with most of them come with low coffee table, as it's gonna say that the place is more created for casual hangouts than people sit and work or study. They offer handful selection of pastries, which will still be complete if you come relatively early or at least before noon. I went for their Miso butterscotch cookie, which again was uncommon here in LA. I love the overall taste and the cookie came in right gooeyness level, but I wouldn't call it my fave. Besides, I could taste more of white chocolate than either butterscotch or miso. Not complaining though! The highlight was doubtlessly their Japanese Black Sugar a.k.a JBL Latte. Precise level of sweetness with bold coffee flavor. I loved the aroma as well as the taste, perfectly suited my coffee preference. My friend had their Mocha and she said one of her most fave in town!"
"I’m so grateful to live in the neighborhood and be able to walk over to this cozy little coffee shop. As someone who loathes corporate-style coffee chains, this place truly checks all the boxes. It has a unique and inviting atmosphere, the staff is friendly (no L.A. attitude) and the coffee is delicious! I find it very pleasant to bring my laptop and get some work done here. I highly recommend the iced mocha — the chocolate they use is vegan :) It feels good to support a small local business that just gets it right. ☕️❤️"
"Stopped by while exploring the neighborhood. Plenty of seating, great wifi, and good music. Grabbed an iced americano & the strawberry almond croissant … blown away. Will absolutely add this to my rotation of favorite spots! Need to circle back and praise the croissant, one of the best pastries I’ve gotten in LA."
"An absolutely soothing and pleasureful experience. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, great music (not too loud), great natural light. The coffee is incredibly delicious, and the entire shop concept is stellar. The origin story and interactive desktop on the bar is fun. By far one of my favorites in the city. Highly recommend sitting and enjoying your drink. Royce, the owner, is incredibly passionate and thoughtful. Ask him about the shop concept and origin story, super creative."
"The story of how I found File Systems! I first met the owner at the AeroPress competition in LA -- he introduced himself to the group I was with, and after..."
