"This restaurant is outstanding. The food was so fresh and delicious and artisanal and seasonal. We were a bit early for our resi and Jacob at the door was professional and organized and got us a table on a very busy night. He even checked in with us to see how we liked the table afterwards, a really nice gesture. Absolutely outstanding service and professionalism from Jacob. Our waitress, Ruthy, was top tier. She is so talented. She was attentive, super kind, and very willing to accommodate allergies and help us navigate the menu. The Brussels were delicious. The braised beef with rice noodles was one of the best I’ve had. The wine menu was unique and diverse. Again, Ruthy’s service was probably the best service I’ve had in the last 12 months. She needs a raise! I will absolutely be back to this fabulous restaurant. Impressed! Oh, also, I loved the “allergy menus”! I have no clue why every restaurant in LA or Ny Or anywhere doesn’t do that!"

"Had been wanting to try Girl & the Goat LA for a while and finally made it in for a double birthday dinner. The space is beautiful and the atmosphere is lively, so expectations were high. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t quite match the hype for me.Service was friendly but a bit disconnected. Our reservation noted two birthdays, yet it was never acknowledged until I mentioned it at the very end, which felt like a missed opportunity. At that point we were told they could add a candle if we ordered dessert, and were also encouraged to buy gift cards—an upsell that came across as more transactional than celebratory. On the drinks side, the cocktail list felt short and a little too “safe.” Nothing really stood out as inventive or customizable, so I ended up skipping cocktails altogether. The food, however, was more of a mix: the naan and the goat liver mousse were excellent—rich, flavorful, and the highlights of the night. The goat meat platter was tasty, but it was supposed to come with unlimited salad and accompaniments, and no one checked back to see if we needed refills. Our bread/naan also arrived after we had already finished most of the meat, which threw off the pacing. The chicken tikka was delicious and well executed. The whole dorade was cooked perfectly, but the heavy salad and sauce piled on top made the dish feel muddled and took away from the clean flavor of the fish. Prices are on the higher side, so those small service and concept issues stand out a bit more.Overall, I can see why many people enjoy Girl & the Goat—the room is gorgeous and there are definitely some standout dishes—but for me it didn’t quite become the special, memorable experience I was hoping for. I’d come back for drinks and a few favorites like the naan and liver mousse, but I’m not in a rush to repeat the full dinner. I also didn't see anything point of 4% operation support added that was very confusing to me when I can put in on the tip or they can add tot heir sish cost."

"This was easily one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a long while and it exceeded my expectations. Every dish impressed, but the corn in particular was unforgettable and still on my mind. While the service moved a bit slowly and the restrooms could have been cleaner, it was a packed night during a holiday weekend, so it was understandable. None of that took away from how outstanding the food was. If I lived nearby, this would be a regular spot for me without question—I’d happily return again and again."

"I liked the industrial vibe with its high ceilings and softly muted lighting. My daughter and I were seated in a room somewhat separated from the main area, felt more intimate and cozy. Allison's service was top notch, when I asked her about the dishes she spoke about the menu and discussed the ingredients as if she was either an owner or played a role in designing the flavors. I truly appreciate when staff is knowledgeable. The spa day infused with a hint of pandan from the leaf was light, but the cucumber definitely dominated the drink. My favorite fusion of flavors was the spicy handroll dip. I also enjoyed the chickpea fritters, although they were slightly over-salted. For my entree, I had the salmon, seared skin over a juicy filet. The flavors were somewhat mild but still enjoyable. My daughter had the goat belly which she also enjoyed. For dessert we shared the mango sticky rice, a unique combination of flavors that I deconstructed while eating. The highlight of the dish for me was the sticky rice, while the mango tamarind was a good compliment on the side rather than mixed together. The attentive service and flavorful dishes left a lasting impression."

"We loved our entire experience here! The food was amazing, the service was prompt, and the ambience was intimate and friendly. Our server was very knowledgeable about the different dishes and wines available, and dishes were delivered to the table one at a time, timed perfectly. We will be back!"
