from Google & Yelp"I’ve honestly never had donuts this good before! The fact that they fry them fresh to order makes all the difference warm, crispy outside, perfectly soft inside. I tried the passion fruit flavor that was recommended, and it was incredible! The tangy and sweet balance was just perfect, unlike anything I’ve tasted before. Holey Grail Donuts started in Hawaii and now has locations in Los Angeles, which is so exciting. The wait can be a bit long since everything is freshly made, but it’s absolutely worth it. Most donuts are plant-based, though a few seasonal flavors include honey, so strict vegans should check before ordering. Overall, 10/10 experience I can’t wait to go back! 🍩✨"
"Holey Grail has been hyped up, so we finally checked it out. Overall it's a good donut. However one has to know that this is not your typical donut, as it's made of taro, not wheat flour. Once you understand this, then you'll not be taken back by the dense texture and think that it's undercooked, like I did. Once I understood all this, then I was able to enjoy it in its own merits. A thought: perhaps this should not have been marketed as a donut some that has all sorts of expectations. If this were presented as a unique taro pastry then I'd evaluate this anew. My favorite part is the freshness, and the tasty toppings. I definitely recommend."
"[Update 12/5/25] absolutely gutted the Larchmont location is permanently closed HOLEY CRAP these are incredible donuts. Who knew the Hawaiian superfood taro could be so delicious? I will most definitely be coming back here for more, even their basic donut offering, the “hot single” is to die for. All donuts are fresh made to order, highly recommend eating them hot. The flavors are orgasmic."
"We stumbled upon this by accident and I don’t know if I’ve ever been so glad to stumble upon anything ever. You need to be prepared for a wait as every donut is made to order and that’s why when you get them they are still hot from the fryer, which is OMG GOOD. Even though there are other donut shops I like in LA, their styles are very different and if I was forced to choose just one this might now be my favorite. Make sure you try the Lilikoi with passionfruit and the original. I love that they have different flavors all the time!"
"amazing! they make every order fresh so expect to wait a few mins but that is absolutely what makes them amazing. fresh and warm , not super sweet, and they have a great texture because they are fried in coconut oil. Unlike other cheap oils other shops use to fry doughnuts, these taste light and you dont leave you feeling heavy and gross after eating. Best doughnuts ever!!"
"This is my new "thing" Very hot. Super fresh and they have a crunch on the outside. These are not the dreaded "cake donuts" I was expecting. Loved the..."
