from Google & Yelp"I stopped by Jalsah Yemeni Coffee in Los Angeles and was seriously impressed! I ordered a matcha latte and a slice of tres leches cake, and both were absolutely delicious. The matcha was smooth, perfectly balanced (not too sweet), and had a really comforting, earthy taste. As for the tres leches — wow. Moist, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The atmosphere at Jalsah is cozy and welcoming, with a modern touch that still feels rooted in culture. It’s the kind of place where you can chill with friends, read a book, study or just relax inside the cafe. Definitely coming back to explore more of their menu — especially their traditional Jalsah specialty drinks!"
"Came here on my last day of LA and absolutely LOVED the pistachio latte and rose cake. The latte was perfect and not too sweet and the rose cake was like a tres leche, a nice surprise. The employees were so nice and absolutely loved the ambiance so I can read my book there 🤓😋"
"I was in LA for a conference and Jalsah Yemeni Coffee was on the same block I was staying. The owners were welcoming and the space was clean and quiet. I ordered the pistachio latte and it was amazing. I absolutely downed it and wished I'd bought two. I went every day I was in LA, I tried a few different lattes and a cake slice. I have zero regrets."
"I checked out this specialty coffee shop and honestly, it was such a cool experience. The pour over coffee was smooth and full of flavor, but the real surprise was the mango juice — wild and delicious, totally unexpected! We also shared a croissant between four of us, and it had this creamy filling inside that was sooo good 😍. The only downside was parking… classic L.A. — had to pay $20 at a lot on the corner and walk. Other than that, everything was great. The vibe, the quality, the flavors — I’d 100% go back. 🙌☕🥐🍹"
"GET THE ROSE CAKE. If that’s all you read then I’ve done my job, but in case you’re curious, here’s a bit more on why I loved this little cafe. First, they’re open late! I’m a night owl, so I enjoyed that they have a late closing time so I can keep burning the midnight oil. The staff member that was working was super friendly and helpful, and even tho he was the only person working, he greeted everyone that came in and reassured that he would be with them shortly. It is a very family-friendly place and a nice hangout spot for catching up with people as well! Their baked goods are incredible and if I weren’t leaving town tomorrow I would’ve gotten one of each to go! Will definitely return on my next trip!"
