"As someone who works in property/facilities management, I had a horrible experience with Karla's Coffee. This is a husband-and-wife-run operation that, appeared more interested in leveraging legal pressure for financial gain than conducting business ethically. We conducted an initial and thorough walkthrough to discuss our needs and a potential setup--no formal agreement was made, no contracts were signed. Despite this, they later claimed a verbal agreement had been established and initiated legal action against us for breach of contract. To avoid the cost and hassle of litigation (especially since we're backed by a large, publicly traded company), we chose to settle and move on. It felt more like a shake-down than a business dispute. Worse still, they made claims of discrimination and began repeatedly calling our corporate office in what felt like an attempt to harass and pressure us into settling. For small business owners or anyone considering working with them--BEWARE. What we experienced was far from professional. "I hired Karla for my Father's Memorial service at Castañeda-Crollett Mortuary in East Los Angeles. Karla's cart was ready at 1pm and she served until 4pm. All the drinks were delicious and my guests enjoyed the varieties of teas and coffees. The kids loved the strawberry and chocolate milk. I'd have to say the iced brown sugar espresso was my favorite but I enjoyed all the drinks I tried. I am happy I decided to go with Karla and I would love to have Karla at my future events."
