What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 I saw a friend post about this spot on Instagram and I decided to check it out with my family. Kumquat doesn’t have its own parking so you’ll need to get lucky with street parking out front or park in the nearby residential areas. When you arrive you’ll notice a small outdoor patio with very limited seating. Inside, there’s an eight-person capacity and depending on the timing, you may have to wait outside for a bit. The interior layout could definitely be improved as the line tends to spill into the space and personal space isn’t always respected. Just something to be prepared for. The coffee was solid overall. If you’re into cold brew, they offer several options. My wife ordered the vanilla iced latte which was very tasty and well balanced. We didn’t try much of the food, but we did have the ham and cheese croissant. It was good though it left a bit to be desired. The ham was rolled into the center and the end resul is a lot of bread and not much ham in each bite. If that floats your boat then by all means. Overall, I enjoyed the coffee and for the price of a large cold brew around five to six dollars it’s not a bad option at all."
"See Google review online as well. Raw hand pie that i ate and now have a stomach ache (from foundry). Ordered new England (2/10), matcha (2/10), Tennessee (4/10). Costumer service, not there. Said thank you and have a nice day and got blank stares from the baritas who poured espresso, oat milk in a measuring cup, weighed it and poured over ice. 30 dollars (with tip) for a stomach ache and not great coffee. Really a great start to Monday."
"Top tier right here. I'm VERY LATE to the Kumquat frenzy. But better late than never! I ordered their New England Latte.... sooooo good! Also, got to try a kouign amann from their bakery, Fondry. Super flaky and not to sweet! Kumquat, Loquat, Quattro, and Fondry are all must drink and eat!"

"My partner and I come here very regularly. It’s become somewhat of a ritual for us on our days off. I felt that after about 1 year of coming regularly id share my experience. We’ve always appreciated kumquats dedication to the extraction of their espresso. Their team is always well trained and very educated on their coffee. They are pretty consistent with pulling a balanced espresso. I usually order an oat Cortado or flat white… or both lol and my partner will get a pour over. My partner loves pour overs but we often feel as though they are overlooked in most cafes. Kumquat has a huge selection of pour overs always on rotation. This makes things super exciting because there’s always something new to try; at the same time, such a huge selection could potentially make it more difficult to keep on dial. We’ve always felt that the newer selections on rotation hit but as the selections age out, we don’t know if they adjust the dial because they can tend to decline in clarity and flavor. Nonetheless, we still love their offerings. One thing that was difficult for me to accept at first was just how unfriendly their staff can be sometimes. Especially considering how often we come through. I know our order isn’t the easiest or the most convenient for the staff, especially during a rush. However, it would be nice to be a bit more cordial with them. We try to be friendly with them but it just doesn’t give. Lol. At the same time, I’m also like, “nah I get it, just spit on me” cuz like, who am I, u know? My partner and I run a cafe, so we get the challenges that come with it. The balance between quick service, quality and consistency is DIFFICULT, and we believe they do it really well. Especially considering just how much business they get. Though not perfect, they are inspiring for us in many ways. Keep up the good work yo!"
"Try the Cloudy with a chance of Peanuts. It's small, but mighty. I order this every time and grab a bag of beans from The Barn based in Berlin. My wife..."
